Asked the Yi about developing a well-received short story I wrote last summer into a longer work, as I will soon have time to write again, and got 37.3>42.

Is this saying I'll do some emotional wrestling with it, but I'll make progress?

So then I asked the Yi to define "increase"--and got 9.3>61. Toil and mishaps bring self-knowledge?

What truth am I seeking? 63.2,3,5>19.

Line 37.3 is about discipline and I think that it is a very necessary thing when writing seriously, so it would suggest that you go ahead and do a new story as Hex 42 is about increase and how it is beneficial to undertake this new project.

Actually, I've got the short story and a 60K-word novel right now, neither of which have been touched for about a year. And of course, I've other story ideas in the research stage--and on hold. I'm fishing around now to decide which to pursue in the next few weeks, if any. Maybe shelve them both indefinitely and begin something new? I dunno.
