37 repeatedly in regards to a relationship

Hi All,

I have been getting hexagram 37 repeatedly in response to questions regarding a relationship which ended a couple of months ago, with some back and forth in the meantime. We ended the relationship due to circumstance, rather than due to lack of feelings or acrimony. I believe it is safe to say we both love each other very much and it is very hard to be apart.

Earlier in the week I asked: what do I need to know about this relationship in its present state? I received 37.1.3 -> 20

Today I asked: how does he see the relationship now? I received 37 unchanging.

I have to say I am stumped. We feel very much at home with each other when we are together, but we haven't spoken in a month. This is all pretty painful, and your insight would be truly appreciated. Thanks!

I think theres probably a good deal of security in the relationship, a natural feeling of belonging with each other but maybe you need time to look at it (20) I think 37.1 show almost that you are both safely intiimate with each other, like on some level you are already quite exclusive with one another. 37.3 i find more ambiguous than the usual commentaries that talk about being too frivolous..it could be you both need to acknowlege more the fact that you have quite an organic connection and treat it seriously ie a connection like this isn't something that comes along each day, maybe it will take some commitment/seriousness, it needs to be valued more, taken more seriously...as they say 'the path to true love never did run smooth' (dunno who said that)...but a connection like this doesn't really break up because of circumstance, like usually family connections don't truly break up because of circumstance. Perhaps its saying if you both want this then do some work for it...and this time apart is giving you chance to see (hex 20) something important about it you couldn't see when you were very close to one another.

Hmm yes on reflection i think 37.3 often says 'value this, don't trivialise it'..not that you are but could be its actally worth more than you thought ?

Trojan, I couldn't have asked for a sweeter, more resonant reading. It sounds exactly right, and even more than I had hoped for. This is one of those rare connections that you would normally not let go of easily, like you said, and it was most certainly not let go of lightly. We have known each other all of our lives. But unfortunately, circumstance it is, some very serious circumstances indeed. I have also been getting a lot of 26, which is not surprising is it?

Hi there , I have the same question regards my ex , we ve been togetjer for 4 years plus 2 more on/off because we used to have fights and lots of silly interactions with each other, mostly because i had a bad temper because of family problems .After we broke up 2 years ago he sweard and promise he will never come back to me , but he does all the time .I have changed a lot , im very loveble , caring and nothing like i used to be.He refuses to get back together properly because he says it will all be the same as before and of course he enjoys not having to commit with me and being with others as well.I know he loves me deeply but he s just hurt .Everytime i ask i ching if i should just move forward with my life it says to have patience , to let time heal , to love , to wait , to commit , and now this one as well. 37 unchanging. Please help me out because im desperate , this situation full of insecurities is drawning me deeply.
