Hello all!

I'd like to hear people's ideas on Hex 37. I have drawn it a lot lately in regard to feeling discouraged about feeling isolated and uninspired. I could see this as a call to find my own people, but then what's the difference from 13?

LiSe speaks of it almost as a union of necessity, and others seem to confirm it as creating a support structure within a group where everyone fulfills their designated role. But outside of the most traditional concept of family, which may be relevant for me, I don't get other possible implications.

Thanks in advance.

37 doesn't have to refer to people at all, it may be your concept of home or what is really home for you right now. I think it can be very much an inner experience especially unchanging. I never really found the 'designated role' bit of very much significance,(hmm further thought see below may be its more like integration than role assignment as such) Read some thing somewhere the other day along the lines of 'he who is disconnected from self is disconnected from everything' hmm probably not quite so trite as that but I do find 37 can be as much about reconnecting with your inner home as 24 might be.

13 is about wider community and though I guess one would have to say it doesn't have to be about people (if there are no people in the question), my experience is its very much about other people, or with reference to other people even if you don't know them or they aren't directly involved. Your connection to the human race/society IOW. 37 is far more intimate and inner world orientated IMO. Of course the 'role' bit may in that instance have to do with actually organising/integrating your inner soul world which does need our attention sometimes and its not so easy to do if we are always 'out there' communicating and relating (13) So if you have had 37 alot maybe you need to refocus on what makes you at home/things you need to do at home/how you need to feel at home again within yourself.

'Family' can also mean a school of people with similar thoughts or interests. Here in the West we call it then "-ism". Like pointillism or impressionism in art. A 'family' of artists.
Maybe you have to find the inner family you belong to, the things which inspire and motivate you.
