Asking about what do to to find new orientation professionally? - As I am unemployed, still have to finish a book project, but have no idea what to do next, which direction to go for. (Do lots of applications? The I ching said, 61 unchanging, which I interpreted as a "think about what you want".)
I think it is sort of encouraging, saying that the situation is not so easy, but I still have friends, there still is trust, so the situation might change.

38.2.4.5 > 42

38.2 this is an informal meeting (probably with someone you already know).
38.4 - you think you can fully trust this person, but...
38.5 it's not true that you can trust them, this person is actually quite aggressive.
42 - you'll have to do it for the money, it will bring you profit.

Translated into more understandable language, I believe that this is telling you that you should seek employment from someone who you can meet informally. So, either a friend/acquaintance, or an agency (not via a formal application / interview process). It will be difficult, but it will help you earn a good living.

Thank you diamanda. This is what I think, things are getting more and more difficult with formal applications. Its not that I'm not qualified, but I've gone through too much ... and can't explain any more. Of course I can apply, but feel sort of weak. I don't really have that much of an idea who to ask and what to do. Yes difficult. But there seems to be some hope at least! Thanks.

Gosh I know what you mean about formal applications. I've grown sick of them too. Ask acquaintances, or friends of friends. Or an easy-going agency, or even agents of your line of work on LinkedIn. Line 38.2 could mean internet, or a phone call (a 'narrow alley', metaphorically). Good luck!

Thanks again diamanda. Just coming back from the other post I put in: 50.2.3.4.6 to 2. This is so clear! All the best.

Hi mandarin_23 I feel this reading says you will find something through the help of another although there maybe a few opposing viewpoints to work out in the end it will work out and you'll be rewarded but potentially don't let anyone sway you from you original ideas and self worth. I too, like diamanda, am so over putting out applications and getting nothing in return, sometimes not even acknowledgement of my application. Sure they may get lots but even a generic email is better than not hearing back at all. I'm certainly over it considering my skills and suitability for the positions I apply for. Good luck mandarin_23 and diamanda

And thanks, and also good luck and all the very best to you becalm!
This 38 is about not really knowing where to go and having different, opposing needs and ideas, and also about not really fitting in, as well. So I'll just take it as it is ...
