I asked What is the workable key to unlocking some sense of self-contentment?
40.1,2,4 > 24

I think it's saying I need to let go of negative, familiar patterns and take advantage of what's being offered (40.2) and perhaps become more independent? (40.4) I am currently living at home so am possibly not being challenged enough and too reliant on family (nice for a re-coup but probably not good for regaining confidence after a while.. lack of challenges and stimulation I guess...)
24 suggests a new cycle that I need to be prepared for? A re-grouping of what I'm aiming for in my future? (rather than dwelling on the past) Re-discovery of a new self? That I should liberate myself from my past self?

Insight would be welcome but I do think I'm pretty clear on the reading..

Hi em_ching
If it sounds good to you and makes sense then that is what is most important. Have you thought what would truly be self-contentment and maybe that this answer is pointing towards you following your insights and not someone elses.

Yeah perhaps the I Ching was pointing to itself when it talks of my relying on people/things for answers to these kinds of Q's when perhaps I don't need to so much - the answers are pretty much within now (with the help of the Yi of course). Just need to actually take some more responsibility to live what it teaches  kinda obvious I suppose :) Or perhaps yeah it was throwing the Q back at me - what do I actually need to do to feel more content. Making me think... and do, not lean.. perhaps that's what it's saying
