42.1.5 > 23 Relationship

Hi everyone,

Need help in the answer I've gotten form I ching
I asked: What should i do to improve our relationship
and have gotten 42 > 23
After reading hexagram 23 it seems negative to me.

He is a friend of mine who has expressed interest in me back during June and we haven't been progressing much, maybe just progressing physically but emotionally i felt he was further and further away as he is someone who is hard to figure out even among our clique of friends.

And then i asked: How he feels about me?
I have gotten 60.1 > 29

Again it doesn't seem good.

What does these mean in relate to my questions?

As i seee it,hex 60 is about the boundaries and mutual agreement in your relationship.
Line 1: Not going out of the door to the family rooms. Not a mistake.’
Staying at home certainly*felt*wrong, but no error. Preserve your dignity and show some trust in him, it will work more.
Hex 29 suggest you that
If you are sincere and put confidence on him, it will work for rs.

42.1 - "Fruitful to benefit from performing great deeds. Eminent*auspiciousness. Without fault."
If you can do, then do! A cheetah can run, so he is a great runner.
E.g Action: something like show how you value him.
42.5 Suggest you - be true and kind hearted on him.
Especially in small reactions one recognizes the value of a heart, more than in a big good deed.
Hex23 - Splitting apart
In my view, hex 23 sound a difficult situation between you two.Trying to influence the situation, will only prolong it. Withdraw and wait patiently, allow everything to settle.

Thanks for taking the time to help with the interpretation of the hexagrams!

But i'm confused about some parts as I'm new to I Ching,

And because our clique usually have a weekly gathering so i'll be seeing him almost every week. And he always get quite close/physical with me after having some drinks when nobody is around.

For 42.1.5 > 23
The advice is to withdraw and wait patiently, but also show actions on how much i value him and be true. The withdraw means to not take initiative to talk/meet him? I'm confused as to how to show him how much i value him when i'm retreating at the same time. Or should i wait for everything to settle first then i start showing the actions?

I can't exactly pinpoint what's the difficult situation between us currently but i feel that there's some sort of barrier between us, and i always find it hard to approach him without any reason, partly because I tend to shy away from people I like, and also it's just very hard to figure him out as his thinking and our thinking (in the clique) differs quite a lot :/

As for 60.1 > 29, I was asking about how are his current feelings towards me. However from the interpretation it shows more of my side towards him, so i'm rather confused too

Joey Yap's "Plum Blossom Divination" says about 60.1:

Relationships: "If both partners have faith in the relationship, there is a strong likelihood of marriage in the end."

These are actually very positive tosses.

42.5 >kind hearted on him and have confidence.
I think hex 23(splitting apart) is the image for future.
If you will face difficult situation (problem) with him,you should wait and see with patience.
my interpretation maybe wrong.
You should follow senior radiofreewill advice
*just different perspective.

When I read about the meanings behind the hexagrams I actually got worried but now I can see the clear picture and I know what I should do. I'll try to ask him out this week

Hi everyone,

Recently things improved and i did managed to spend alone time with him (2days). He took the initiative to contact me often last week, and he is also aware that there is another guy chasing me and he seemed to mind. After a week he threw me a question: "Will you choose him or me?" I told him i will choose him but then this convo just ended there and changed to another topic. So thus far there hasn't been any meaning from him to advance into a real relationship even though he's kind of aware of my feelings, plus we did everything a couple will do (holding hands secretly etc). However he spoke nothing about his own feelings and i do not dare to ask also.

So i asked IChing: How should i progress from our current stage to a real relationship.
And i got 51.6 > 21
Hex 51 is shock and i'm shocked by this hex so what does it mean?
