42.1.6 > 8 Potential for Employment

I've been volunteering for a non-profit organization for about a year and things have gone very well. I really enjoy what I do there and am very well received (just learned I've been named 'volunteer of the month' for April.)

About three weeks ago, the director offered me a half time position but had to develop the job description before we finalized things. Then this past week she withdrew the offer due to unexpected financial issues. She did say I have 'a future with them' in a different area - more specific to where I've been volunteering - but didn't have a time line or any specifics to share.

I've been out of work for quite a while and am a bit anxious to have an income again, so I asked
"What is the potential for paid employment at this organization?"

42.1.6 > 8

In some ways, I see this as very encouraging, but the contrast between lines 1 and 6 couldn't be more extreme and leaves me feeling rather confused.

I believe some people view a 'split' with lines 1 and 6 changing as having a special significance, but I haven't had enough results like this to be very clear to me.

As always, I appreciate any perspectives and experience you'd like to share.

You ask about 'the potential' and so in 42<>8 it could well be that this is what Yi is speaking about. There is a sense of something having to diminish or end (42) in the greater context of things before the full blessing of delight for you(8) can be established. For you in this situation there is a trial to allow your out-moded thoughts and behaviours to slip away. Otherwise they may interfere with the path of the potential being realised. The image of 43 urges you to focus on staying balanced in your outlook and behaviours while remaining flexible in your approach. Stay up beat while visualising what the full potential would mean for you but do not fixate.

42.1 - There is no fault in dreaming of the new life that could unfold for you with paid employment. Do not let your thoughts run away with you - for good or for bad.
42.6 - Remember wealth isn't just about money. It might be that the potential of paid employment does not come to fruition or may not turn out to be what you hoped it would be. Stay calm and centred if things do not go as you are hoping they will.
