Thats interesting Charly.
Wonder what Scorpio meant for chinise and why in this line ?
Maria:

First of all my apologies for having delayed so.

Surely chinese people have worshipped scorpions.

Scorpio constellation is called DRAGON.
There are prehistoric jade dragons that looks like OUROBOROS
The shape of the SCORPION has associations with life and death, with birth and rebirth.

The word W/B translated DANGER occurs many times in the YI, why not here?

It depicts a CONCEALED SCORPION, then DANGER :

Please, see this picture:

Maybe the SLOPE added to the SCORPION component does not mean CONCEALMENT, but a SKIRT:

SOMETHING ASCENDING UNDER THE SKIRT !
Dangerous but interesting.

The source describe the picture so:

Revealing Metaphor
The builders of Khajuraho employed a complex symbolism in their imagery. According to Devangana Desai's Religious Imagery of Khajuraho, This Nayika disrobes to ostensibly rid herself of the scorpion. The scorpion here is a metaphor for lust and also a pun on Khajuraho as the sanskrit word for it is Kharjura. The original name for the village was Kharjuravahaka, meaning the scorpion bearer.

Much more about SCORPIOLORE in the following page:

In Western astrology, people born under Scorpio are said to be strong, lustful, jealous and vengeful. These same qualities can take on corresponding positive aspects such as the ability to love passionately, apply themselves with determination and have good memories.

:) Ah, Charly. Thank you for all those information you provided me. Need some time to think about them and how they relate in 44.2 line.

Maria
