. I don't think so far I have wittingly set out to insult anyone so would you leave me alone please. Thankyou

.

I think you have your answer. When someone asks you to leave them alone and you don't then your are Mr 44. Well Done. I'm not answerable to you. You can't demand I answer your questions nor decide how I express myself on this forum.

To Repeat. Go away and talk to someone who wants to talk to you. I don't.

Not meaning to say "Maria you are imagining things, you are deluded, you are wrong" thats not what I meant to convey but if it came across that way to you I'm sorry.

I didn't write anywhere that so I don't know why you say that
Maybe you have your reasons

(spooky voice): The moon is a wild, wonderful, powerful mistress, lads. Beware, all who would serve her.

I noticed a pattern over the years on Clarity. When hexagram 44 comes up the atmosphere sooner or later becomes tense.
Misunderstandings, little fights, big fights sometimes ..

Why is that? I think it says more about the nature of this hexagram then any old text or any modern interpretation. :)

If it does that, Martin, then it serves a creative purpose. If someone (anyone) can't see it, it doesn't mean the creative purpose and meaning doesn't exist.

"And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." - Nietzsche

This is a quote I really like.
It reminds me also what said in the movie Zorbas : Madness. A man needs a little madness or else he never dares cut the rope."

Madness , insanity, whatever one can call it, apart from the clinical illnesses, is something very very subjective. Whose ear is the right one ?
When the ‘object of desire” finds you and attracts you like a magnet and sometimes pulls you outside your comfort zone it’s a scary moment. The “object of desire” invites you to dance with it. Nobody knows where will lead you that.

Not sure what you mean, perhaps you are refering to something that was written earlier? I have been very busy and have read only a few posts in this thread.

But anyway, I wouldn't deny that the tension that I often see in 44-threads can serve a creative purpose. If it always does that I don't know. It also depends on your definition of 'creativity'. Conception, okay, but what about a tsunami or a fatal illness? Creative?

True 'nuff. There's no way of knowing, exactly, nor appreciating knowingly, what creative outcomes may come of it. For example, what we now know as our world's continents and mountains were a result of awful geologic turbulences, whereas tsunami would have been only a mild repercussion of world cataclysmic events. There's nothing unnatural about it. When certain elements interact, there's a hexagram to illustrate it. 44 is ripe with potentials, constructive as well as destructive, but usually both.

I like what maremaria saw about 44 pulling one out of their comfort zone. At this point in the I Ching we are building to co-ordinating group consciousness and enterprize culminating in the creation of 48. The Well. If man were to stay within his comfort zone he would be able to provide for himself on a small scale in humdrum sort of existance. It takes a bit of madness couple with others, to dream of things that never were and ask, "Why not?"

I read a big part of this discussion although I did not read every single comment on the 8 pages of this thread.

Here's a very interesting article about hexagram 44. It is written in Italian but for those who don't understand the language there's always Google Translate.

I like the authors way to interpret this hexagram and so far it's the interpretation that makes the most sense to me.
