45.1.2.6 > 10 Chance meeting

Hi everyone,

So I recently met a man & whilst my encounter with him was quite brief (I was working at the time & he was only in the country overnight for work) I felt quite drawn to him (something that does not happen very often to me!) He was very attractive but also there was something about his energy. We didn't exchange contact details as it was probably a little inappropriate as I was working at the time. So I left it at that.

And He has been stuck in my head ever since! We don't even live in the same country but there is a possibility we will be at 1 or 2 of the same events next summer in Europe. And he will probably be back in my city but probably not for at least a year. Again all only possible chance meetings yet still I feel a connection to him after our meeting.

So I asked: Does this person play a part in my future? And got 45.1.2.6 > 10

So 45 "Coming Together" changing to 10 "Treading Carefully"

I would be interested to hear your interpretations

Hexagram 45, "Gathering", is about gathering people around you- it's "fruitful to see the great person" and to "proceed probing", so it seems that the connection you feel is something you can pursue. This "gathering" is interrupted- Line 1- but "one clasp of the hands can bring them together". So I think the Yi is saying that he will certainly play a role in your future, and maybe something may come of that connection.
But remember lines 2 and 6- they are telling you what to do in the meantime. You are are treading a tiger's tail, here, putting yourself in emotional danger with this situation, I think that's what H10 is about. So to avoid being bitten, you should, do like Line 2 says and "Be led"- let the situation develop how it will develop rather than try to manufacture it, inspire confidence through your behavior, and the energies at work will take you to where you can harvest. While you're working that out, you should Line 6- Bradford talks about this weeping and moaning as "getting it all out", feel free to express your frustrations at the impediments to your "gathering" and release all that tensed up negative energy so that you can see the situation in a clear light.

I wasn't sure about the lines in 45 but I feel very uplifted & motivated both in my personal life & my career since this brief encounter, I've even started the ball rolling, as it were , on a potential life changing career opportunity which may be reflected in line 2.
Plus we are both in very similar fields & both very passionate about it so perhaps that is what will bring us together again
I wasn't sure about the resulted Hex 10 but your interpretation of putting myself in emotional danger makes sense. I believe without risk there is no gain
