(45.4>8) Good to do overtime at work tomorrow?

I'm planning on going into work many hours earlier than i'm supposed to, in order to tackle a big list of things needed for an upcoming audit of the place. There are two days of the week where someone I have no contact with works, and i'm unsure if the auditor already visited or not.
So i'm wondering if all this extra work will go to waste if the auditor has already visited, then there's no point doing overtime.

I asked "What will be the result for the audit if I do all this work tomorrow?"

Line 4

'Great good fortune, no mistake.'

This looks very positive, but I read things on the DeKorne website which have me doubting that my efforts would benefit the audit (or that it's already been done and done well, and I shouldn't interfere now)
e.g. A. You're sitting pretty: don't push your luck. and Confucius/Legge: His position is not the proper one to him.
Directly after which it says a bunch of positive interpretations like
In this position you gather with others to serve a larger goal. Such sacrifice will meet with personal success.

Very confusing indeed

Hi Piscean,

"What will be the result for the audit if I do all this work tomorrow?"
45.4 to 8 ~ It can't hurt, and it might be very good ~ it's worth the sacrifice.

I don't see a downside to going in early, except that it'll inconvenience you? And, on the other hand, if it does turn out that you need to prep for the audit, then your conscientious sense of duty will come through, and be recognized by the group?

Field's "The Duke of Zhou Changes" says of line 4:

"There will be great good fortune. No harm will come."

Comment:

"Line 4 has no omen or counsel. The ancient diviners who encountered this line recorded the prognostication of great good fortune. Whatever your question or task, success is predicted."

I hope this helps!

“I don't see a downside to going in early”

Yes I put in a lot of work, and it helped massively, it wasn’t recognised in the sense that all my efforts were seen as the baseline standard to work up from once my other colleagues got there, so I helped in a way that was hidden but still helpful , and the good fortune was just related to that I’m pretty sure we passed and the audit did happen as far as I remember, again old thread
