Inspired by another poster's question and my recent relationship struggles I asked the yi

"why is it so hard for me to find a boyfriend?'

I received Hex 46 unchanged.

What does it mean when the texts says "one must see the great man?"

I'm reading this as to just accept things as they are. and that I shouldn't worry and that I should continue to take small steps to further my self growth. That every step counts and is just as important as the desired result.

I know that I have been pushing through patterns that have gotten me in to the wrong relationships in the past. Looking closely as to why I choose the wrong men. I’ve changed a lot of my behavior by taking a more receptive role to dating (I used to be quite needy and clingy). Now I respond rather than initiate and this has saved me a lot of man-pain.
So perhaps 46 tells me to keep going, stay on the path and realize that I’m making progress?

Yes, very much of a step-by-step appraoch. Like a young plant breaking through the soil. The direction is clear, the sun tells it, but the growth is organic and sometimes not easy to identify.

And there is no point in tearing at the plant to help it to grow.

The great man can be a counsellor, a good friend, the "inner voice or the inner wise one".

Oh yes, I love LiSe, I know it well.

So 46 does not appear to tell me to change anything about my approach towards love. I'm doing okay? I will see success?

I want to believe it but it disguises itself well!

I'm thinking in my experience 46 applied to finding someone to love, might also tell you to keep on going. Even with slow progress, don't be discouraged.
Maybe you give up too easily, or maybe you want someone to be your love before you know them truly well.Or maybe it just takes time--but if you keep moving forward--success!

You might want to reflect about the line:

"One must see the great man"

That you can or should go to the south (i.e. keep on going in that direction, which usually means an active approach) is an enabling answer as well as the "fear not!" part.

Other than that I do not see any specific advice. Which does not mean there is none, just that I can't see it.

Today I asked a similar question (over a year later) "will i find a healthy loving relationship in the near future"

Guess what I got?

Hex 46 with moving lines 1 & 3 changing to hex 19

Seems I'm getting there s l o w l y! Still a growing sapling Well I'm glad I'm pushing UP through the earth and not going down!

In LiSe's version line 1 sounds like it's about not settling and being open to possibilities.

Line 3 is confusing.

it points to obstructions falling away and things proceeding with ease BUT the text offers no promise of good fortune (!)

LiSe's interpretation says:

"first of all evaluate the obstacles, fighting might very often not be the best solution. And fights based on emotions only makes things worse"

any thoughts?

Later on there will be no obstructions (46.3) to you finding a healthy relationship(Hex 19).

So, you will find one.
