48.5>46, 59n/c, 60.1.2>8, 11.2>36 re: TV Not Working > What's the Info/Advice here?

Called Time Warner to come fix what I believe to be a problem with the coaxial cable going into my TV. LSS: 3-yr-old TV>worked fine until one day heard beeping noise and no sound, but still picture >> FF over course of ~10 days and then no picture. Power light still comes on, but nothing else > IOW blue power light is on, but no picture, no sound.

I had this problem once with the big brother of this TV (this one is a Philips HDTV 19" Flat Screen, other is 37"Flat Screen) and techs replaced both the coaxial and the input cords and problem was fixed

However, this time we tried plugging another TV in here, and it worked, whereas my Philips didn't work here. Only difference besides the Tvs themselves was the the power cord > we plugged in other TV with its own power cord.

Tech says the problem is my TV. Unwilling to swap out any cables.

Of course, I don't want the problem to be my TV. But is it?, so I asked:

Diagnosis of my TV
48.5>46

Diagnosis of my TV power cord
60.1.2>8

What do I need to do to get this TV to work properly?
59 n/ch

Is this telling me to "Disperse my TV" i.e., throw it out? But why would it tell me so clearly that it's in good working order > 48.5 > or am I missing that that line is really telling me my TV IS the problem?

Just asked this last one:

What effect would swapping out all cables have on my TV receiving cable input properly?
11.2>36 :(

I would greatly appreciate varied inputs on this for whomever can spare the time.

thank you very much.

Diagnosis of my TV
48.5>46 ***Looks fine, the line suggests nothing wrong.

Diagnosis of my TV power cord
60.1.2>8 *** Swap the cables around, check the "heads".

What do I need to do to get this TV to work properly?
59 n/ch

***A hammer.

Thanks

Thank you Willowfox for responding. Your answer makes a lot of sense. I will do more with the cables and see what that effort yields.

However,

I am mostly confused about 59 n/ch > had I gotten that as the answer to my first Q re: Diagnosis of my TV, I would have understood that it just IS my TV and that it blew something. Like you said "hammer" > I was so confused when I got it considering the 48.5 as the diagnosis of my TV >>> If my TV is in perfect clear condition, then why does it need to be smashed > is this possibly saying I need to break down the barriers around something that's blocked inside it? ...

48.5 is so clear and THEN 59 >

> can anyone give me insights as to what you think might address the apparent contradiction in this?

While this is not a question about life changing relationships or other personal issues, all of which I have in abundance, THIS reading can really help me to better grasp understanding of the YI's messages, especially with your help in guiding me around what I'm seeing as contradictions, that perhaps you understand to be saying something else.

Thank you.

Hey, don't worry it was supposed to be a joke.

When you ask a question like the above, then it covers everything from the power outlet, to cables, to the TV itself, its an all encompassing question.

So, if the TV is OK then it must be something else, like a connection not working properly.

Still seeking additional Clarity from Clarity Contributors

Thanks, but I understood the joke Willowfox.

I don't understand the Yi's seemingly contradictory responses.

And I did not ask an all-encompassing question, considering my breakdown of questions.

So, again, How does 59 n/c fit as what to do with a TV diagnosed as perfectly clear (48.5) when all of the input cables worked to bring a perfectly fine signal to a different TV?

Why not an answer that says something like "what you're relying on to support you is wrong" or something like that? But 59 n/c is just that : Take a hammer to it or disperse it ...

In the vast majority of threads there are more often than not numerous responses and each one of them is usually filled with helpful insights from regular interpreters on this site. And this goes for questions about everything from the most serious life-altering decisions hanging in the balance to questions regarding technical practicalities like my own question here in this thread.

Lat year I posted my first question to this forum on a day when I had been assaulted by people who represented the last and only option for me to provide a roof over my head without going into a shelter after heaving fled for my life from a brutally corrupt situation, having been forced to leave quickly and at great personal as well as practical cost.

That thread still rests on this website and is filled with a selfish fight between you and Trojan. No concern or regard for whether you had helped me. I was horrified and very, very angry. Since then I have wanted to post several times, but did not want to find myself so disappointed again, wondering both how no one came to my aid in that thread, checking both you and Trojan for your inappropriate behavior as they have done in other threads when such garbage appeared, and also how so many others generate a bevy of earnest replies and mine got me that garbage when I really, really needed help and took a risk posting such a personal query to a public forum. It is also not the only occasion when members of the Inner-Clarity-Click immaturely piggy-backed their own personal fights/unresolved issues onto someone else's sincere reach out to this potentially-life-changing community for help and insight.

Now, after nearly a year, I decided to leave out all the other questions I am struggling to grasp and just see what guidance I can get in understanding from more expert readers what the bleep is going on with my TV.

I understand the possibilities.

I am asking for help on this forum about how the answers I received actually fit together.

To tell me it is the cables doesn't draw a distinction between the meaning of 59 n/ch and 48.5 in the contexts given.

If it is the cables, then why 59 n/ch, and why did these cables work for a different TV brought in and hooked up? Why then is my TV diagnosed as 48.5 - SUCH a clear diagnosis - unless I am not seeing an alternate viewpoint that would reach the OPPOSITE conclusion to that 48.5 answer to THAT question?

The answers don't make sense together esp considering the facts ... or do they?

So, if the Yi is correct, which I believe it is, I need help interpreting what is so understandably unclear in my answers.

Thank you for your time in giving the help you gave.

Have you tried changing the cables yourself, have you tried the TV in a different room with various cables etc? I cannot go into technical details as I know little about the workings of a TV, and especially flat screen ones but in my experience I have just tried different cables and power outlets until I have discovered where the problem laid.

Hex 48.5 for your TV suggests crystal clear, so check the little things, you maybe surprised. The other day the lights in a room would not work, could not find the problem, but the problem was the fuse switch not clicking fully back into its right position. Another time my TV was switching off and on by itself, finally discovered that a wire had come lose in the plug.

As for the problem that you mention between me and another last year, that erupted on your thread, that volcano had been simmering away for years and it had no bearing on you in anyway. Sometimes when people fight, bystanders can get hit as well. But don't worry about it, s*** happens and some of us learn to duck. So, post away to your hearts content.

11.2>36 :(
Just today I was telling someone that when I get H59 unchanging, it often means, go ahead and "disperse" the money. That may refer to getting an independent tech in there, not beholden to cable company, who will do a proper diagnosis. Or it may mean spending money on cables to do the swap yourself.

My best intuition about these readings is that by the nature of H60, there is some severe limitations of the power cord or the cables. These things can be marginal, and may be erratic or may show up only certain times, or with certain connectors. A slight drop in signal may be tolerated by one unit and rejected by another.

Look for any sign of a bent or crimped cable or power cord.

H11.2 is hard to imagine referring to cables, but that reading does connect to H36, and I am thinking that either Yi commenting on your pain and on matters more important than televisions, or that the cable is hurting, and that trying to send the signal for the cable is like trying to cross the river without a boat.

So get a new cable...and make sure the connector on the TV is not tarnished or blocked.
