48 unchanging, love. Beginner need some help :)

Hello there, I'm new to iching and did my first ever reading, obviously a little confused!

I asked two questions:

"What if I choose to leave (man in question)? - hexagram 20 changing solid 5th line

"What if I choose to stay with (man in question) - hexagram 48 unchanging

If anyone could clarify the meanings that would be great, I literally have no clue haha!

You are just being given the choice back....you aren't being told. 20.5 asks you to contemplate all the factors and effects in the relationship. 48uc here I feel is again asking you to decide what's there for you ? There are no strong factors in this beyond your own decision and will here which is why I think Yi is saying this is absolutely your decision and you can make it by yourself.

I think 48uc might ask you to consider if you are really seeing the full potential of the relationship.

The universe always does this to me, im terrible at making decisions, so I'm always looking for someone or something to give me an answer!

48 says the water may be there but if we cannot access it, if the rope breaks and the jug can't reach the water then we cannot drink. I feel perhaps this may indicate that it is necessary to be able to access all the good things someone might offer you in relationship. Maybe you have to look to see what's there (20) and maybe all he can be to you isn't apparent right now. Maybe you also need to find it in him, to look a bit more deeply.
