49.4.5>36 on impressing someone??

Ok,

been off consulting the iching for a while, after a series of muddled up readings that had me convinced I had somehow become over reliant on divination rather than trust my instincts..(my gut told me so anyway!)

Well, following this long hiatus I was inspired to go back to consulting after a powerful first time meeting with someone I had wanted (hoped) to meet for a long time.

This person is someone whose work and general attitude to life I deeply admire (he has no idea) and I confess after meeting him in person i am really quite attracted to him.

Anyway, we were at a social gathering and I was introduced to him by a good friend. My impression was that he was as impressed by me as I was with him, and there was definitely a spark, but I got a feeling that he mistakenly thought I was together with the friend who introduced us and I didnt quite know how to get it across to him that I was on my own as we were always surrounded by people.

So, I asked the iching what was his impression of me and our meeting?

I got 49.4.5>36

I find it quite interesting that I got a line like 49.5 the first time I go back to the iching after leaving to work on 'trusting my instincts'..I guess the universe works in strange ways!!

Would love to gather some thoughts about the reading, as it really got me thinking..

Maybe all along you have already know the answers in your heart, and the purpose of the I Ching is to help you become aware of them?

His impression of you is pretty good, we all like a hero but I feel that he thought you were out of your depth at said meeting.

No spark honey. No sparks in this reading, only a certain pity perhaps.

It looks like its saying that you looked completely changed, from a backdrop of hiding yourself. Like someone who has lost a lot of weight and you see them for the first time in ages, phwa... totally changed like a tiger

Willowfox, just out of interest, where did you get the idea of 'pity' from? is it hex 36? I struggle with that interpreation..

Ching ching, I think you could b spot on as far as the changes, as this was my first appearance in this social circle for a long time and people kept commenting on my changed appearance..

My hunch is that Pocossin is right, and that if I have done the required work on my own development, I should be able to trust my own heart/instinct as far as human interactions go.

Before getting your responses on this reading, I asked the iching to clarify the potential of this person's intentions and got 31.2>, which to me kind of says it all.
