49 all lines changing...?

I asked Yi a question about an emotional attachment I have been holding on to, maybe past it's usefulness, and whether my attachment was blocking my true path. [My actual question was: "Am I holding on to something that is not right for me? Is my attachment to x blocking my true path?"]And I cast hexagram 49.1.2.3.4.5.6 to 4I have never cast a hexagram with all 6 lines changing. Is this Yi's way of saying an emphatic "Yes, change your point of view, let go of this!" ?? Does it have a particular special meaning encoded?As I wrote the question I was already thinking that some part of me already knew that the answer was-- likely- "yes you are off your true path". So maybe the Yi is just saying, "you already know the answer to this?" Or, throwing it back to me, "what do you think?" Just wondering if anyone has had experience with this particular casting. 49.1.2.3.4.5.6 > 41

Both 49 and 41 are hexagrams which show events beyond our own control.
49 shows a natural change, a seasonal change, e.g. like a snake-skin changes, by itself.
And 41 shows a time of 'thin cows', of loss, damage, bad luck.
So a seasonal change happened extremely fast and resulted in bad luck and loss for you.
None of these events had anything to do with your character or your actions - their causes were external.

So any current actions you're doing (e.g. holding on) are not going to alter the situation.
41 shows you how to live with it:

- it seems to be advantageous that the thing/person left, as they were of no use to you.
- you are still able to divine
- you still have self-confidence
- you still have two bowls of rice to enjoy

I believe the advice here is to hold on to the things you can still 'use' and focus on those instead.
There are people out there who don't even have these few helpful elements... make the most of them, despite feeling so down for now.

Just to add to above , i think you may as well had 49 Unchanging but maybe Yi wanted to emphasise the hexagram 41 aspect. I had hexagram 49 Unchanging about 6 weeks before Xmas. You may relate this hexagram as to being put through a washing machine. Is that how you felt? The good news is most of the time you come out clean and brand new.
Revolution is a perfect name for this hexagram I feel.

I got this combination once when I hadn't heard from a friend. It worked out that I was unnecessarily concerned. I needed to Change my perception that she was intentionally avoiding me and Decrease my expectation that if she were a true friend she would keep in touch more often.
