Hello everyone

Unemployed since, well, quite a while, I did some readings earlier this year which seemed to show a great and unexpected professional opportunity for me this summer.

Summer is coming closer, and doubt is showing its little ugly face again, so I asked: Describe my professional situation this summer

I got 50,2,3 to 35

It's meaning isn't very clear to me. Here is what I understand : I will have a new opportunity, a new beginning. It will be a subaltern situation and I will not be recognized as a valuable employee, at least in the beginning. Success will come later (35).

Well, I am not sure of my interpretation. Maybe this could mean that I will stay unemployed as my qualifications won't be recognized and if I keep a positive thinking success will come ultimately.

Hey guys, I could use some of your wise view on this. Should I rejoice or should I mourn (and pretend I think positive :p)?

I am not really sure about these kind of long range predictive type answers I don't think they work too much - it is a book of changes after all and changes change.

I think perhaps it is reflecting how you feel now - unemployment is horrible it impacts on so many areas of your life. But 50 has great potential in it's sacred pot......

50.2 suggests you have something of value that is not being appreciated by others. Maybe your own self-doubt is holding you back?

50.3 implies that maybe you are going about your job hunting or going about things the wrong way - that maybe you should be doing things differently for the rich fat to be appreciated - more pro-active or different types of work or......?

all in the context of positivity and expansion - 35

So maybe you are going to have to change your mind set a bit to release that potential and get things flowing freely through your life again. Easier said than done no? Unemployment can be so undermining just when you need to be on top form. I sympathise it is tough times right now for work.

Good luck with it all

"Professional situation" and you are unemployed, perhaps unemployed has become a "professional" way of life, like in England. In England, some people turn unemployment into a profession, and are pretty darn good at it.

Anyway, I digress, perhaps if you were to take on some unprofessional employment, like shops, bars, restaurants, contract work then you would soon be earning some money at least but it shows that you seem reticent to do anything else, and that will certainly hold you back from getting a job.

Therefore, if you lower your standards as regards types of work that you are prepared to do then you will soon have some interviews lined up and a job offered to you.

Thank you for your answer and your kind words Lucia

I was lucky enough to be redirected from the government unemployment agency to a private agency. The ladies there are very efficient and we have been putting in place different strategies for a wide variety of jobs (I have been working in many different sectors). Things are looking a bit better now, I have had a few propositions, but only for a 30-50 hours a month in a not so near future. So now I know I will have some work in the future. But in my mind, nothing less than a fixed job (I mean opposite to temporary job) full time would mean the end of my actual situation.

Reading you and Willowfox, it appear to me that the more relevant in order to change my situation is the 50,3. Being pro-active and looking for different types of work, I believe I am doing that already.

So maybe you are going to have to change your mind set a bit to release that potential and get things flowing freely through your life again.

That's interesting. I sometimes have been thinking I should stop looking for job and create the job myself. I have a few ideas. Easier said than done tho, yes

Hello Willofox, thanks for your answer.

I don't speak english to the IC, and reading you here makes me believe "professional" wasn't the most accurate translation. I meant "work", as in "working to earn money" :D

My standards are low. I never tried bars and restaurants, as I have zero experience in this kind of work, and people here want at least experience. But I am looking in the construction (scaffolding, masonry, woodcutting, or whatever I can do with sweet and muscle), security, social helper, administration, in fact I go for every field where I can claim even a few weeks of experience. Unemployment is quite high here (10%) so for every job offer, there are at least hundreds of answers.

but it shows that you seem reticent to do anything else

Is this a deduction from my choice of vocabulary (professional) or from the IC reading? In the second option, I would be interested to know what would be your interpretation now that I gave you an overview of my standards.

So I asked an other question, no long range prediction this time:

How should I behave/what should I do in order to obtain a job I like? (Why "a job I like"? Because that's where I could imagine still being working in ten years.)

Answer is 49,5 > 55

There is a revolution going on inside me? Or maybe I should initiate it and I know intuitively just what I must do. I should do what I feel to be right and never let doubt or fear undermine my confidence.

So here it's about living without drawing plans for the future, enjoying the present moment and the appearance of my new self. I like the idea! Just live and shine, and do not fear nor plan. Smile and be happy, you're in the hands of God. Whatever happens, you will deal it with confidence.

Sounds nice. IC tricking me again right? I asked and Dear IC answered: "Don't worry, and do not even ask. " Al right, I will do that. I have no job, no home, no girlfriend, no car, no money, but I must say, I feel free

Hex 35 suggests interviews and therefore the strong possibility of successfully landing a full time job, look good and you will attract the right attention in the right places.

The lines express difficulty but ultimate success, so go to the source and rely less and less on advertising as obviously it attracts too much attention.

You need to be noticed, you need to shine(like Hex 35 suggests), so you obviously need to stand out from the crowd. You need to push/promote yourself in a fairly forceful way, "look at me, I can do the job well".

Go out and attract the employers attention, then you will succeed. But if you just remain inert and passive, then you will be passed by everytime.
