Hi there,I'm new to this community (and newish to Iching), although my father was always fascinated with Iching but we never talked at length about it.....I'm wondering if it's possible to gather more insight on this reading. Other readings have seemed more clear to me but I'm not sure with this one.My question is "why is it not possible for my partner and I to agree as a couple on what path to take?" Basically we are a family and at a crossroads of uncertainty about moving. We can't seem to agree on where or when...Thank you for any wisdom you have to offer.

Hi! I would read something like: because what you need to learn (4) is to take good care of the vessel (all that that you have stored as experience and knowledge through your lives). Your changing lines are the lines of men (the first and second the lines of the earth and the fifth and sixth the lines of heaven) here number 3 talks about difficulties in hearing (the handles) to become who and what you really are (this now is not you) and number 4 talks the vessel has not been handled with care and some exquisite food has been lost (sounds like a slap on the wrist) You need to learn not to throw away something valuable out of stupidity or negligence. There is job to do! Hope this helps you think something useful for you. Cheers!

Hi Carmina,

Thank you very much!

This makes so much sense to me right now. Thanks for clarifying the changing lines (this is something I do not quite understand yet). Sometimes I can intuit when reading the interpretations (of the changing lines) but this particular reading felt muddy to me at the time.
The vessel as the container that contains and transforms and stores.....We are at what feels like a big tipping point of subtle and not so subtle transformations- the kind that are internal as well as reflected externally.....I am acknowledging and starting to tap into my own transformations, finding family, creative, and financial expressions that hopefully integrate the roots and stores of experience and knowledge....also acknowledging some exquisite food that has been lost! (my own, my partner's, as well as shared missed opportunities/ nourishment.....)
Hex 4 reminds me of the fool in tarot. Part of it beginner's mind- receptivity to allowing changes and transformations to nourish us rather than resist it.....but in contrast there is a bit of youthful folly- my partner is younger than me and (from my perspective) there are hindrances that unnecessarily rebellious, irresponsible, and resistant to what is (perhaps again that loss of exquisite food in the denial/ lack of tending the vessel/ allowing nourishment in the transformations. As well I'm seeing my own irresponsibility but the difference is I am quite ready and even happy to take full responsibility for myself. Although he is coming around bit by bit....year by year.... ;-)
Interesting that it rings so true of my partner and his difficulty in listening to his inner guidance/ hearing who and what he really is....a lot of resistance so much potential though.
Handling the vessel with more care also deeply resonates. A few other recent readings seem to point in that direction as well.....time to tend to details, strengthen roots and foundations... a tight ship so to speak before we set sail.
Thank you again <3

Because one of you doesn't recognise that there's delicious food there already, and spills it all over, and is constantly being stupid/immature, and will continue to be so.

From your comments, I can see you already know who this person is.
