I made a bad investment a year ago, loaning a huge amount of money to get higher interest. I asked whether I would be able to get this money back this year. It is indeed a waste as it is locked up in land the borrower bought partly with my money. But in the end will it be well? Thank you for reading!

Sorry AnitaS, it sounds like a 'no' to me. Even if you manage to get the original sum back, you will make a loss instead of a profit.
