50 UC what will happen if I reach out and ask for a meeting

Having not heard from my POI, I asked the I-Ching today what would happen if I reached out to X and ask for a meeting. I received 50 unchanging, and I’m not sure if that is favorable or not. Does it mean we will communicate and meet up if I contact him? Any take on this would be appreciated.

This sounds pretty good to me. A lot of your previous readings sounded like advice to wait, but this sounds potentially good.
In the Eranos I Ching, the image is translated as:

Wood possesses fire above. The vessel.
A jun zi uses correcting the position to solidify fate.

The decision sounds good, but I do feel like the image is saying you need to take advantage of a good situation. Not sure how you're supposed to do that, though. What does correcting the position mean to you? Tell us how it works out.

Hi Sun,I know 50 unchanging says Success, which is what I’m after. He and I have unfinished business which needs to be resolved, but there are a lot of emotions at stake here. I suppose correcting the position means to act out of integrity because he does owe me something, and he knows this. 50 means something is cooking in the pot, but is whatever is cooking ready, or is it premature? This is what confuses me about 50 unchanging. I am afraid if I reach out now it will be too premature and I won’t get a response.

I think that you would go out to have dinner or something together (Yi shows you cooking pot).
Or in a more indirect way - some transformation, some 'cooking', a positive change of circumstances.

Turn Hex 50 upside down and you get 49 - radical change, I suppose from within oneself (mindset).
But here it is more put this and this and this together and let it simmer for 30 minutes and you will get something beautiful.

Thank you Tim. I have 2 choices. I can reach out according to 50, even though I feel I am putting myself in a vulnerable position if I do this. My biggest fear is that he won’t respond at all. Second choice would be to continue to wait. I asked I Ching if he would reach out to me this month if I just waited for him to contact me first and received 40.2 to 16. I know 40 means release, problem solved, relief from tension, so would that be positive?Line two speaks of receiving a yellow arrow and taking out 3 foxes. Would the yellow arrow represent a message of some sort from him?

Anyone have an idea if 40.2 is good for messages, I know 40 usually is in reference to feeling relieved after a period of stress, which is what I’m going through now. I’m hoping Deliverance means I will hear from him soon but line 2 is confusing.

40.2 shows dealings with lots of cunning and/or alluring people left and right. Someone playing the field. So maybe this person is too busy with other things right now.
