Hi, I've had a complicated few months which the Yi has guided me through. To cut a long story short, I am in a long distance relationship with my partner of 2 and a half years. The distance has always been a problem in the relationship and we want to end it as soon as possible, although not necessarily through marriage. I want to go and join him in the States as soon as I finish up graduating from law school here, but in the meantime I need to get a job. We broke up briefly over the summer because the distance had created so much friction in the relationship, but eventually got back together and we seem to be progressing, there are no more petty arguments, for instance. A lot of the time when I ask the Yi about anything to do with my job prospects, or my resume, I get Hex 52 with various changing lines and sometimes none. I don't know how to interpret this though. I have been working very hard at a job search, applying to a lot of things which I don't even particularly want to do. Is the Yi telling me to forget about my boyfriend and 'keep still' in my own country, looking for a job and persevering at this search, or to 'keep still' and not get too wrapped up in things here in order that I can move if necessary and persevere being with my boyfriend? Whenever I ask about the relationship it usually tells me everything will be fine as long as I have patience and don't push too hard. Any interpretation advice for hex 52 would thus be appreciated!

How to interpret hexagram 52 unchanging?

It is as if you are on one mountain, and he is on another. Yin is the shady side of a mountain, and the shade moves as the sun moves. I think it is your nature to move, so you should continue to plan to go and join him in the States.

I think it's saying find your calm center, your inner stability so you can make sound decisions and continue to develop your relationship on more stable ground. 52 represents the spine. The judgement speaks of not "letting your heart move past the situation". Take things one step at a time, and try to set aside some time each morning to meditate. if you plan to move and you got 52 with no moving lines then you can think for awhile why is best to keep still , otherwise don't take big life decisions based only on yi readings. ( unless you are consistently able to read loto numbers 2 weeks in advance)

Hey this is quite simple....keep still. Stop doing that (underlined) for a start...this is very clear. Stop all the rush and chatter and try to shut out outer things a bit...

If you asked about job searches and resumes and got 52 then stop all the frantic job searching and busyness..it could be getting in the way of clarity. You need a bit of space

I'm confused as tohow the man is connected withthe job search....its all over whelming, distracting. I'm not saying that because i want you to explain, ...I'm saying that the post reads to me as all over the place, hard to read, frantic. So stop. Drop the complexity of everything...all the plotting and planning. Be still and here in the now. Forget the complicatedness.....for now

Thanks everyone for your replies. I've enjoyed reading all of them. The only problem is, I don't feel I can stop frantically job hunting, I have to have money so there are no real options, even if the Yi disagrees.

I asked earlier today about the potential for my future relationship with my partner, and drew Hex 1.2. Anybody have any idea as to what this may mean?
