This morning I have been studying the IChing intensely and have been blown away by how stimulating and interesting it really is but just thought I would put this one out there for further interpretation if anyone keen to confirm/deny so I maybe learn a bit more - thks!

So further questioning on my connection with this difficult man

What further contact will I have from him before he goes to Hawaii

52 - self explanatory (incidentally in numerology he is Hex 52)
Yep can't shift his thinking etc.

What further contact will I have from him on his return from Hawaii

Hex 21 - Hmm...Biting through/corrective measures
So what I found on this was - The appearance of a third party in a relationship causes a disruption that will diminish in the face of patience.
Fire over Thunder - The way in which nature forces through obstacles and restores imblance of tension.

so does this mean our relationship will then be 'corrected' even though the third party is still in the picure or will it be 'corrected' because she is not!

That's interesting. The teeth can't meet because an intrusion is keeping them apart. But couldn't this intrusion be something other than another person?

Thks poccossin, yes you are right it could most definitely be something else.
Whilst I don't wish to put all the responsibility on him, my take on why this relationship didn't work in the first place is him not being able to acquire a tranquil heart because of his lack of persistence and self-discipline to achieve this.
He appears to live in a constant state of agitation and conflict within himself.
When we first met he said 'I want what you've got' referring to the peace and tranquility in my own life but took no action to bring this to himself.
My responsibility in this, is that I allowed myself to be drawn in to his world of conflict and forgot to maintain my gentleness of self.

Oh dear, I thought Hex 52 meant he wouldn't contact me before he went to Hawaii, but this morning he has just been harrassing me so much that I have had to bring the police in to intervene.

He is set in his ways like storm clouds on a mountain top, and there has been an intervention of a third party to keep you apart. I am sorry for your trouble.

Thks for your kind words pocossin,
My compassion for him allows me to see this as a sad situation though I realise I need to protect myself from possible harm.
When others don't recognise their potentional and live in conflict that makes me sad.

It is very difficult, but quite tempting, to read another's point of view in IC, particularly when you're emotionally involved in a situation. Proceed with extreme caution when such an interpretation presents itself. It is most likely those "inferiors" having a game with you.
