53.4.5>56 Is my new landlord going to be a nightmare?

Hello I Ching Community,

I'm looking for some insight to an inquiry I made about the landlord of the new apartment I'll be moving into in a week or so.

I thought I landed the perfect place and was super excited about my new home, until the previous tenant disclosed that she did not like the landlord. She told me that he has all sorts of "weird" rules (ie: nothing is to be placed on the window sill), that he is in his office in the building from 11-6 every day and in and around the property, and that he sometimes will stand beneath her window and "listen"..... yikes (this is just plain scary). She also told me that he was asking another one of the tenants there about whether or not she was back with her boyfriend (inappropriate and indicating a lack of boundaries).

I feel pretty bummed out about this. I know my rights as a tenant and will not hesitate to put boundaries in place if/when needed. But these are just so not the things one wants to hear before moving into a new place.

So I asked the I Ching, What am I in for with this landlord?

I got 53.4.5>56

It's allll about relationships and....doesn't seem so bad (?) ...
Persevering in what already exists...
It doesn't seem to imply that I'm in for implicit danger or have reason back out and find a new place...it just might not be what I had hoped it would be.

I just really can't tell with this reading if it's positive or ...not?

56 - The traveller...am I the traveler, one who will eventually be moving on, or is it about being a traveler in a foreign place and respecting the rules and customs that are already in place (ok so no plants on the windowsill).

I would so appreciate the insight of others!

53.4.5>56 sounds like this is a relatively safe place to stay, line 4 implies that you will eventually move on and it resonates with hex 56, as it points to a brief sanctuary on a journey. Line 5 indicates you may have to deal with slander/gossip perhaps some attempts to cross boundaries but ultimately it cannot harm you.

But overall this reading indicates you will eventually move on and find an ideal place to live.

the reading doesn't seem bad at all. 53.4 shows an appropriate place to stay, and 53.5 a problem that's solved over time. 56 is either about your situation as a tenant- someone who moves- or the fact that you'll move, you don't stay there forever.

I agree...the reading didn't sound bad....I feel very much relieved.
Although I had hoped to settle here for a while, perhaps this is, as you say Viru, a brief sanctuary on the journey to finding my home.
