Hello dear Community,

I met a guy, whom I really really like. He won't be here for the next few months. So he is not really available right now. I will not have a chance to find out if we have enough potential for relationship in the next time, although I feel our connection is amazing.

I guess line 2 says that I am going to stay alone the next time keeping the faith. Line 4 is confusing me. Does ist mean that I will get the chance to start a relationship with him later or does it mean, I will meet somebody new again. I don't know.
Is line 4 according to your experience an indicator for a coming relationship or is it a reminder on the purely theoretical possibility of a relationship a person always has, "just the silver lining of hope on the horizon in an hopeless situation" as I read elsewhere? (No worries, I don't feel hopeless )
As I know me, I personally think "keeping the faith" means that I keep faith in the connection, since I am a very persisting person in love issues. But still I don't know how to handle the meaning of line 4 in this context.
I know -- you can't tell me what's going to happen, but I am very happy to read of your insights, ideas and experiences. Thank you.

Thank you, dear Moss Elk. But why is it like this -- because 2 and 5 belong together in the development of the hex and not 2 and 4?

... because most of text versions do not talk about a person that is the wrong match, but talk about the wrong time.

All I can say is, from my experience
54.4 was about opportunities I was given and that it was for the best that I delayed marrying the opportunity and then something else came along that was better.

Wrong time when it is the wrong person. Right time when the right person. That is my experience anyway.

Reading through your initial post I can't see what the exact question was ?

But also bear in mind this need not literally be about marriage or another person, in fact I don't think I ever had the line concerning another person. You did ask about another person but you may have asked about you, I don't know.

Line 2 shows you cannot see the whole picture, but you can see enough for your own guidance and keep faith to what you know is true. I feel line 4 also advises to keep the faith but whether with this particular person or just faith that you will eventually find what/who is right for you I cannot say, I don't think it's possible to say.

I once had line 4 about a flat I was trying to get. I was told it was not available, it had gone to someone else. I asked Yi about it, before I knew that it had gone to someone else, got 54.4 and was puzzled. I half suspected that it wouldn't work out with the first person and the landlady would call me back to tell me I could have now. She did so I took the flat. It was okay for a while but I got a better place after being there 10 months or so.

So did line 4 mean there was a delay in my marriage to the flat or did it mean actually it wasn't the best place for me and I'd find a better place after a while ? I don't know but when I cast it I took it that the other person would drop out and I would get the flat and that is what happened so ....?

As a sentence this is 'Marrying Maiden's Return'....and return often means re-setting your buttons, getting back to who you really are which mostly in this scenario I'd say would be a return to your own self.

Thanks a lot for your opinion and this interesting story. Again it gives a hint that sometimes the I-Ching seems to work on more than just level, which is a reason why I appreciate it so much.

I really hope, that the alotted marriage is about the person I am thinking about. I will give feed back after some time. But it will maybe take a lot of time if I trust into the divinatory reference of my line
