I'm frustrated with having to read the words of the I Ching when I'd really like to be talking and HEARING a response. I wish someone would make an I Ching cd and set it up so you could push a button and hear a random one line reading. Possibly have it so that after the one line reading there would be a 5 second delay and then some talk about the meaning of the line so you could get further insight without having to pause and look it up. Be even better if there were a way to make it so you could record your own voice. Shouldn't be hard to do if you knew how…

I asked the I Ching to describe what I'm trying to create.
I received 55 Abundance, the entire tool chest, the I Ching, with lines 3. the broken arm, what's that about? Perhaps a reference to the person needing guidance? and line 4. the helper, the disc? And then changing to 24..Returning, getting centered?

Anyway, comments?

I think that's a very interesting idea. If a random generator could offer an answer by random selection, as an online reading generator does now, it should work just as effectively. I don't know if such a program can simply be contained on a CD, which is nothing more than a sequenced digital recorder though. 55 sometimes implies too much. I wonder if that's the broken arm, and if 24 refers to a CD running in sequence, starting from beginning to end and back again, rather than being a numbers random generator. Still, that doesn't mean that an actual program can't use voice rather than text, including the question/command. Even a simple cell phone does that, as well as computer software such as Dragon. Line 4 (W/B) "Here too the complement must be found-the necessary wisdom to complement joy of action." I take wisdom here as the necessary programming skills.

It would be a very slick App.

I Ching found a method to help you read the information of future, and this method has been proved correct during thousand of years history. (Some people can predict the future sometimes, because their sixth sense is better than other people. According to Jung's theory, the sixth sense also belongs to subconscious mind)

For your suggestion, that's sound a good idea. But I am not sure it can read the information of future. Because it is very different from the process of I Ching's method.

I believe Rosada was describing a audio component to I Ching software: "I'd really like to be talking and HEARING a response". As Sooo mentions, providing there is sufficient richness to the randomness I don't see why it couldn't work. Perhaps it may not be about reading the future in the linear sense, rather extracting "snapshots" from the present which can direct future action. After all, it may be for the Yi and reality in general, there is no future or past, only an infinite present.
