Hello, living people:bows:
What do I need to know about my life now? Hex 55 unchanged
Why do I get image of a boiling pot with the lid shaking and jumping, spilling and making painful noises? My idea of abundance was always of a Tiananmen Square parade in the hot Sunday midday:rolleyes: somehow frozen, cardboard uniformed massing... But I connected it now (thanks to my new book:) ) with an urge to move - even parade is about moving through and sure I am boiling but I am afraid that the steam/midday sun is impeding me to see more clearly what I need to focus on as I am putting away chores already and they are piling up...getting hex 55 unchanged worries me consequently, abundance leaving you is a sad idea, no matter one is not supposed to feel like that, Yi states...I am very much afraid of any losses now, obviously I can`t cope.:bag:

What do I need to know about my love life?(withered optimist) hex 57.5<18
I got that once before and latter on understood that hex 57 is about repeating influence but as it turned out, "after 3 days" things got messed up.

Your guess is as good as mine, if you care to offer any interpretation, that is, :bows: d.

Hi Dragona -- I hope you are getting along alright. :) I was reading your post and decided to dive in. 55 is one of those hexagrams, like 11, where there is a lot to it, but it is very hard to pin down and understand for me. It strangely makes me think about a youtube video I watched (I will try to find it and post it later). It talks about the holographic universe (you might have heard about it) and how our very thoughts get projected out and become reality. I like this way of thinking because it puts me in the driver's seat. And the thoughts we have about ourselves and our world around us are very powerful.

I was reading Lise's commentary on 55 and was thinking about a time a while ago when I was a teenager and it was very hot outside. I was working outside with some friends and one of the girls stopped and put her hair up with a band she had around her wrist. She had an extra one and I asked to use it and did the same thing. The next thing you know someone else says something to the effect "why are you copying her"? It was the oddest question to me, because it was something that would clearly help me on a hot day with long hair. This little moment has always stuck out in my mind and it just resurfaced when reading Lise's commentary.

If I see someone carrying on and they are succeeding at what they are doing, and it seems healthy, positive, 'good', and that it would also work for me, there is a real chance for me, the 'watcher', to do the same. The same goes for if I see someone carrying on and what they are doing is not working for them. Perhaps they are suffering in some way. To me it is a gift to be able to choose not to follow in that path (this sort of goes along with hexagram 18 too).

You said you can't handle loss right now. Okay, bare with me on this! :) this might be a far stretch, but it also might help you! What if the abundance, the 'extra' that will be lost, is energy that can be burned? Just like the boiling water you speak of, it has a lot of power to it (steam locomotion), for you to head in the direction you would like to head in general. The 'loss' would only be the steam that was burned off.

I think another thing with 55 is that there is a very pin-pointed way of seeing things. Like a telescope. You see far and with a lot of eye energy/focus, but it is only to one specific spot at a time. Maybe whatever it is you are seeing, this is a chance for you to say 'is this specific moment (or time you are experiencing etc) working for me? Is it helping me carry on? You are faced with a lot at once, but you can only see one thing at a time.

I will try and find the video later. Take care.

Thank you.

It was my assumption, it is logical - one has enough of the old, everything piled up and bursting to get out, towards something calmer and more warmhearted and promising, hopefully only tho.
What is to regret of loosing?
Things I don`t think I can shake (sick parent, as one thing) or if I go about it as coldly as I am really tempted to, there is no going back and I have no backup. When I close my heart then it is an overdue, bitter ending. I don`t want to have that on me. And 55 feels just like that right now.

On copying...hm, it is a good, smart idea, but you know how it is when someone tries to stand up and fight for oneself and makes others restless and feisty....
I find it hard to bare, this Abundance, my patience run out...perhaps there will be signs...

I was referring to the eclipse but that has already happened to my mind, I am afraid.
55. Denseness
Denseness.
Progressing.
The king grants this, don't be somber.
Suitable is midday.
The situation is difficult to oversee. One might get pessimistic about it, but there is no need for that. There is progress. It is a good idea to pick a time when things are at it's clearest.

:) Maybe when we get 55, it is about what we choose to highlight and underline. Our view of things. I wish you the best.

Thanks. I did not use this site before. As long as thinking about hex 55, underlined is kind of a fresh take for me.

Because the lower trigram is Fire and the upper trigram is Thunder?

Hi, Dragona:

Ewald translation? Interesting butt a little sad.

Feng [豐] was the name of the capital city of Zhous, it's associated with the birth of a new dynasty and means plenty, abundant, bountiful, generosity, EXUBERANCE! the character depicted a sacred vessel with sprouting plants.

exuberance 1630s, from Fr. exubérance (16c.), from L. exuberantia "superabundance," noun of state from exuberare (see exuberant). Exuberancy attested from 1610s.
exuberant mid-15c., from M.Fr. exubérant and directly from L. exuberantem (nom. exuberans) "overabundance," prp. of exuberare "be abundant, grow luxuriously," from ex- "thoroughly" + uberare "be fruitful," related to uber "udder," from PIE root *eue-dh-r- (see udder).

I have not too good concept of kings, neither current nor from the antiquity:

feng1: buxom / good-looking // abundant / bontiful / plenty / exuberant / [also said of women's breasts]
heng1: prosperous // feast / celebration // joy /

wang2: king /
jia3: to borrow // to allow // fake / false / supposed /
zhi1: 's (subor. part.) / him / her / it /

wu4: do not / not /
you1: worry / worried /

yi2: proper / suitable / appropriate /
日中 ri4 zhong1: noon / miday /
[From ri4: sun / day / date / day of the month // Japan / AND
zhong1: middle / center // China ]

EXHUBERANT FEAST.
Luxuriant celebration.

KINGS BORROW IT.
Even for kings, ALL WE HAVE IS BORROWED. (1)

DON'T WORRY.
Enjoy the feast while it lasts. (2)

NOON SUITABLE
Let the feast continue from the evening till the following midday. (4)

Of course, EXUBERANCE is female: do worship the SUN but don't forget the MOON. No need to leave the bed when the cock crows, pardon, when the rooster sings. But that's another story.

All the best,

Charly

(1) Remember the Heaven's Mandate Zhous held that royal authority was managed by Heaven and was conditioned by good government of the granted kings. Say, true authority resides in the people.

(2) «We are real people. We worry... We do worry. Earlier in the chapter, Jesus had talked about treasures on earth (6:19). We do store them up; and we worry about protecting them. We lock our doors and windows... We put our money in a bank (3) where there are large vaults and locks to protect our treasures...»
[Brian P. Stoffregen Exegetical Notes : http://www.crossmarks.com/brian/matt06x24.htm]

(3) Of course it was written before Lehman Bros bankrupcy. Nowadays no much people think that money is secure in BANKS!

(4) It looks like ZHOU celebration after defeating SHANGS, but, I believe, smells a little to SHANG festivity PLENTY of WINE.

Hi Dragona. As promised here is that video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFZnDvuVcG4
--There are some other pretty good videos about this subject out there. This one is not the best, but it was the one I was thinking of.

My take on the trigrams of your 55 reading:
--Fire is below or inside, so there is a spark inside that represents an understanding and a consciousness about your life.
--Thunder is above or outside, so there is movement outside that represents a new beginning and a way of acting on these understandings.

Thanks everyone who entered with their comments here. Wrote before, but my comp froze.
My opinion is that it was /is an indication of an state that is hard to bare, having the tendency to change. Also I got the idea, I think, perhaps too much focusing on one area, not looking at the bigger picture.
Charly, I have to say, I did not get it:blush:, but will try again, latter on.
Courtney, thanks, watched it, simillar to What the bleep... I am of need to revisit.
