Well done for securing an interview!

It sounds like you'll first need to appear like a big shot, confident / capabe / entitled.
Then, change your tactics and appear very cautious. Is anything negotiable about this role?
31 - appear to be open to suggestions, either their suggestions, or make it look like you've got other options.

PS - the hidden line speaks of a cheerful and confident retreat, so for 31 I tend to think here that 'make it look like you've got other options'. Or maybe just go for something else. The hidden line also speaks of a lucky escape - and this, in combination with 56.6, makes me wonder how good this position is.

I once got 56.5.6 > 31 during a time I was applying for lots of jobs, and had total application fatigue. So I did cast about some dubious sounding ads, to get an idea of if it was really worth taking the trouble with those. Got this cast about a particular job, asking 'what will happen if I apply here?' (a different question to yours actually). I interpreted it as 'they'll hire me and that's not to my benefit'. I found this an intriguing answer, so I looked that company up on glassdoor, and lo and behold, it had nothing but really awful reviews. I thought I'd include this here just in case.

Just real quick -

Names for hexagram 56 include wayfarer, the wanderer, the nomad. This covers a range of behaviors, from the beggar and hobo, to the Eco-tourist, to the ugly American. What I think is suggested here is to be on one's best behavior (obviously), which is to take your clues and cues from 'the locals.' You don't want to be too flashy (unless that's what the job requires), or demand that they speak your language or cook your foods; instead, see what they need: it's about their needs, not yours.

One fitting name for the related hexagram 31 is Reciprocity. It reminds me that a job offer is a two-way proposition: they are offering you (or someone) a job, but it also means they have a need that needs filling; so, maybe - at least during the interview - it's showing them how well you can fulfill their needs, not how much the job fills yours -- though ultimately, you probably want it to go both ways for it be a good fit.

Best of luck
