56 lines 1 and 5

Hello. I asked the I Ching "What will make me more attractive to the opposite sex?" and I received Hexagram 56 lines 1 and 5 changing to 13. Definitely looks like I need a change of location with 56 showing up. Is the IC saying that I need to move and make new friends? Or is the IC saying that I need to just travel more, maybe with a friend?

I did post a question the other day about moving, but the IC seems to be saying that a move is something that I'm not ready for just yet (got 62 changing to 13). So it wouldn't make much sense if the IC is saying a move is indeed a good idea, unless it's saying the move will be a good idea when I'm ready for it, which isn't just yet.

Hi, Mike. That really does make sense. Yes, I do tend to make a bad first impression. I have gotton 50 in the past when asking love life questions, so refinement of personality is indeed the key.

It's interesting that you said that. I did a general love life reading not too long ago and received Hexagram 15 with line 3 changing to 2. I was feeling that to mean that I need to act with humility, and that maybe it's not a good idea to go out and try to initiate action.

Perhaps by not trying to be funny as it just doesn't come across to the receiver who then in turn may see you as being immature, juvenile behaviour and romance do not work. You sound like you get nervous in company, and when you get nervous you start doing and saying the "wrong" things.

Yes, all very true. I didn't grow up developing the best social skills, so that's something I need to work on.

I have had a bit of a depressing thought about 56 coming up for this. I believe 56 is about that which is not permanent, so perhaps the IC is telling me that my attractiveness to the opposite sex is something that is never going to be permanent anyhow.

Also, I have been thinking about Mike's interpretation of 56, especially line 5: "56.5 - Understand who you are and what you are about - become the true you." I asked the IC last night "Will I ever truly know who I am?" and I received 56 with lines 1, 4, and 6 changing to 36. Sounds like real clarity is clouded, real insight buried. I'm not sure if the IC is saying that I'm really going to have to dig deep to find who I really am, or if it's saying that it is something that will always be buried.
