We've discussed the possible meanings of hexagrams with no change lines. Yesterday I consulted the I Ching about my daughter's reaction to the gift I had sent her. I received 56. The Wanderer, unchanging. I later learned the package had never left the station. :(

Hmm... lets see now, an EIC focus covers what is motivating the question in the first place - what is pushing your buttons. The first two EIC questions indicate the results of:

A - a focus on values
B - a focus on what was/is/will be

This is the digram of yang over yin. It covers security seeking and the emotions of rejection and anticipation of wrong doing. (develops into the trigrams of water and wind).

IOW the context reflected your anxiety about it being rejected and/or anticipation of such.

Note that by the time we get to hexagrams so the sense of rejection has expanded to include a focus on protection, as has the sense of anticipation of wrong doing expanded to inclde a focus on cultivation (anticipation of right doing).

Implicit in this is that you must have used magical/random methods to derive 56 and then applied consciousness to 'make it fit'. (56 is more associated with identity seeking and issues of loyalty)
