I think I posted a while back that I am looking at changing careers and pursuing teaching. I got my temporary cert, so I am now applying for positions, but until I get one, I have to remain in my current job, which I am slowly beginning to despise. I come in everyday tired and wishing I were somewhere else. I have a very difficult time focusing. I asked Yi how can be more motivated in my current job? 58.4.5 to 19

A bit confused as 58 usually speaks of communication and lines 4 and 5 seem to speak of how to communicate which Im not sure how it applies to my question. Thoughts???

Hi Seeker

Just in case the commentarie could be useful

19 is the context: an aproaching context.

58 is friendly serenity. If you remain alone, there is danger; if you join to others, there will be luck.

Line 4: when you are between 2 choises (persons, situations, fellings and so on) you can lose your serenity. Beweare of it. If you have inner straigth and clarity, you can move wihtout strees.

Line 5: The situation is corrosive for you (a slowly lose of energy); If you remain in this situation there would be danger. But if you recognice the danger, you can protect yourself.

So... the situation is stressing (you alredy know that

); You should try to remain calm, conserve your serenity and friendly humor, don't let the stress make you isolated.

Hi Seeker,
I can really sympathize with your situation..it is unpleasant to need to show up everyday to a place where you no longer feel at ease.
I think these lines are telling you pretty much what Jesed says...The corrosive influence in line 5 may not be so much the place and the people, but the tendency to focus too much on the unhappiness you feel. You are weighed down by it..line 4...

If you can, try to keep a strong vision of yourself in a new position, a vision of happily waving goodbye to your current co-workers. Find a sense of joy in the fact that you will NO DOUBT very soon be onto a new venture, and then do everything you do in your present job with this kind of forward looking energy. Fill your current space with energy that overflows.

In this way, you avoid letting the disintegrating energies pull you down, and you allow the joyousness of your vision to create the approach of new possibilities...19
58 is lake over lake, sparkling energy, and the lake is the best place to see the reflection of new vision.
agreeing with Jesed, don't let the stress and unhappiness cause you to isolate. Expect the approach of springtime.

Yes that makes sense. A couple of my coworkers that I sometimes go to lunch with have commented that they dont see me anymore. So maybe I have isolated myself. I just feel overwhelmed and like nothing I do there matters. And part of it might be that I dont see light at the end of the tunnel. Although I got my temporary cert, I do not have any experience teaching, so I am afraid it may be difficult for me to get a position. Ive been told I would have a better chance if I substitute, but thats risky. You dont get benefits, so it would leave me without insurance, cant afford cobra. I could possibly get state insurance for my child, but they have a waiting list, so there is no guarantee I could get it, and being a state employee I cant apply for it unless I quit the job I have. The pay for subs is also a lot less. I guess I need to think outside the box to find the solution, as one is not currently presenting itself. Thanks for the input.
