Hi

I've recently got hexagram 59 twice regarding the same thing, the first time, a few days ago I got 59.1 and today 59.1.5>41.

The question was: 'how does this group really see me?'

59 and both lines make clear references to relationships but how does it relate to the question asked?

Thanks :bows:

Hello Owl,

My take on Hex 59, Huan, is that it concerns keeping away from, dissolving, negative elements - usually in our own thought processes, sometimes in our immediate circle - that can lead to loss of self-belief or integrity. Sometimes we have to avoid the 'breaking asunder' of our personality/integrity by avoiding and distancing external influences, sometimes we have to 'dissolve' hardened attitudes or fears within ourselves that can have an equally negative effect. In its simplest form this hexagram refers to the removal or dissolving of misunderstandings.
First yin represents the incipient stage of loss of self-belief, hence the line recommends intervening with the 'strength of a horse' before any further erosion can occur. The line resultant, or transitional hexagram produced when this line changes is Hex 61, Inner Trust which again addresses issues of self-reliance and certainty. First yin lacks any resonance with its corresponding line in the upper trigram, 4th yin, hence the Hsiang Chuan, Lesser Image, describes its good fortune as being gained from its 'devotion' (to second yang) - its heartfelt sincerity helps it to avoid dissolution. You might 'feel' isolated within this group but you are not. This line is telling you to gather your self-belief and direction - a bit of quiet self-confidence perhaps?
Fifth yang is a yang line in a yang position hence 'he is in his proper place.' This answers any remaining doubts created by first yin and reinforces the idea of self-certainty. In the ruling position, fifth yang can 'dispel misunderstandings' you might have about your place in the group. The transitional hexagram produced when this line changes - Hex 4, Youthful Folly, - further suggests the idea of misunderstanding. You're looking rock solid here.
The Zhi Gua, Hex 41, is about the cultivation of restraint and curbing the fragmenting aspects of Tui. Decrease/restrain the 'lower' negatives in order to increase the 'above' positives - hence the use of the two bowls.

I think that the "group" see you as very helpful, with some leadership abilities, someone they can rely on for help and advice, dependable.

Hi owl

Apparently there have been some misunderstandings about this group, and how they relate to you. Line 6 appears to refer to you and it discusses the need to dispel the misunderstandings. Are you seeing things the way they really are in relationship to this group? Line 5 appears to relate to a leader in the group, one who can help you and can help you understand better your relationhips to the group and to each other. He/she can help dispel the misunderstandings.

Dear Peter, Willowfox and Gene, many thanks for your insights.

Misunderstandings and quiet self-confidence are accurate descriptions of the situation so far.

There are mixed 'vibes' in the air, positive, neutral and some negative. Not very clear sometimes...

I can sense a change for the better at the moment but will have to wait and see...

Thanks again for your interpretations, they all ring true with different aspects of the situation. :bows:
