No x is not! Time to let go of whatever makes you think these things about x. Refocus your thoughts and get caught up in a positive, health vortex. - Liss

hmm, interesting... I just got 59.2.3>53 to the question "How should I act with XY?" It's interesting how two questions can have different interpretations with one hexagram result. I'm not sure this interpretation totally fits with my question. Unless it's something about letting go of things and live in the moment, growing in the interaction positively and healthily or something...

Eh ? Why on earth would you think an interpretation for a different question would apply to your question also ? It's not like it's 'answers by number'..

No 2 answers could ever be interpreted identically...that would make the I Ching a silly book.

The answer is an interplay of all the factors in the question. I mean why would Liss's answer fit with your question ? She was answering a different person with a different question

I often look at other questions/interpretations and find it can help me get an understanding of the general meaning of hexagrams even if the questions are different. Perhaps reading about hexagrams is not a worthwhile thing to do to try and understand them though. Maybe its more about meditating, clearing the mind, and allowing an answer to float in there instead.

Yes, I know what you mean...looking in the hexagram index to see how others have interpreted the cast you got...but although it can help it can't be guaranteed to answer your specific question perfectly. I think context has to be taken into account, and your situation will be unique to you, hence so will your answer be. The hexagram index is very helpful, it's just you can't expect the person's answer to map directly on to yours, although agreed one can find similarities and try to apply.
