A little background history. I have been working at this company for 2.5 years. The first day I arrived I was introduced to a work colleague and there was an immediate attraction. I have fought this attraction and have never acted on it, despite his advances as he is married. We seem to have established more healthy boundaries but this strong attraction still exists and I can’t see it going away. I am pretty exhausted by this constant battle with temptation. The job is a pretty sweet number as I only work there part time and there is a lit if flexibility in the job and great transport links. It has been a great support whilst setting up my business. But I am sure I can find something similar elsewhere. My gut is telling me it is time to move on out of the mire and start a fresh somewhere else. And to start a new chapter in my life. This is what I feel the reading is telling me.Hex 64 - my present situation. All a bit chaotic and indecisive Hex 59.4 - leave the company - dissolve from the group. It will be fine with sadness but for the greater good.59.5 - it will be the end of my time there but new horizons will open up. What does everyone think. This would’ve a major turning point in my life so I do want to make sure I am not throwing away a pretty practical set up if it will not benefit me. Thanks to you all in advance

I think your gut is on to something. The situation laid out by the hexagram seems to confirm. The Six at Fourth makes it pretty clear as well.
He dissolves his bond with his group.
Supreme good fortune.
Dispersion leads in turn to accumulation.
This is something that ordinary men do not think of.
Nine at Fifth seems to me to be more of the same. I think the Fifth line emphasizes the idea that all your problems may be dissolved and that you have no need to worry.
Your relating figure looks interesting to me. I think it could be a simple statement that you haven't completed your transition yet (Before Completion). Or, it could represent the need to wait for the right time to make the change. Maybe you should make sure you have a good landing pad first? Not sure here.
I hope this helps. Tell us how it works out.

Thank you! That is very good advice. I will put my intentions out there and hopefully some positive alternative will come up. I’ll keep you posted. The thought of moving on feels good also, hopeful.

I agree with Sun Wukong that a landing pad would be helpful. With 64 hanging out in the background, something is incomplete and there's a risk of failure/humiliation (fox gets his tail immersed/regret). Something is unfinished and making a move too soon could be to your detriment. Any chance the work colleague is on his way out of the organization? What if he left right after you did, would you regret giving up this very beneficial and flexible job? My own experience with various lines of 59 lead me to see that hexagram as a rather draining one. You disperse your accumulated energies, you give out a great deal of your resources & riches to other people, and it is beneficial in some ways but also can be exhausting.

I would ask something like, "Can you give me a picture of my life after quitting this job next month with nothing lined up?" or something along those lines.

Interestingly, I cast for the question ‘should I stay at My job’. I received - 58.1.2.6 to 12Could this be saying that it will be good fortune to stay. I will overcome these temptations.

Maybe. You will only overcome these temptations if you choose to do so. The Yi isn't telling you what will inevitably happen; only the stream of change. But, yes, the rest sounds good overall. Is your heart telling you that the relating hexagram represents the difficulties of leaving? Some sort of obstruction? The relating hexagram seems to be conveying stagnation.
STANDSTILL. Evil people do not further
The perseverance of the superior man.
The great departs; the small approaches.
Does any of this resonate? Who are the evil/small people? What is the "great" departing in this situation? The would-be adulterer has been there for a while; so, does the small represent business offers from "small" people?
I'm really unsure about this relating figure. What's your feeling upon further reflection?

I think that stagnation may be the overall feel of my situation at my workplace (which feels like an obstruction) - I read 12 could mean - bad people at work, dominating the environment, sabotaging the noble one’s good efforts. This could be the would be adulterer sabotaging my good efforts? This could be the great departs and the small approaches.

Hi guys, I thought I would update you. Wow, a lot of time has gone. More than I imagined. Well, I am still at the same job and all is pretty much the same but I am happy there and feel the environment is more balanced. The attraction is still there between me and this guy. But I am detached and new boundaries have been set - kind of! The attachment to each other is still there but I will never do anything if he is married and I am sure he must be aware of that by now!! He still shows interest and makes subtle advances: he shows concern for me etc etc and always makes the effort to come and chat. I just feel that this bond we have will stop me from being open to other people and hence feel the need to move again.I did a reading again for the same question and interestingly it was again 64 but different changing lines 3.5 to 44Any thoughts? It seems maybe now still is not the time. I do have another possible job opportunity.

Btw I am still at the same job and I am pleased I stayed. It would not have been wise to move. Thank you all for your advise
