I am currently questioning my personal ideology regarding something kind of silly. I am having a classic "should I give-in-and-just-do-it or should I stick-to-my-guns-because-I-have-always-said-never-ever-in-a-million-years-even-though-the-thing-in-question-is-kind-of-innocuous-and-I-might-actually-benefit-from-it-but-I-said-NO-so-that's-forever-right?" type of dilemma.

So, I got 6.5 becoming 64

Yeah, I get it, I'm conflicted and weighing it out. But... Erm, uh, I'm gonna ask you guys... what do you think? Should I cave and do it, or should I stick it out?

You're not even telling us what your question is. How on earth can we know the context?

But what you received is Conflict leading to Before Completion. Or conflict leading to danger with hope. I see in the hexagrams acting on a foundation of hate which becomes trapped by it's own hate, but there's hope, because what's good and loving remains strong.

You can take or leave my opinion, most people on this website tend to leave it, but whatever. If you want an opinion that will confirm your own fears and wants without exposing you to harsh truth, listen to the people on this website, who read things according to the text, and never try to understand the complex system lying beyond that text. Reading beyond it is an effort which attempts to understand and correlate along the Tao. My understanding of it always changes, but works along a solid path. Whereas on this website, people try to use the I Ching to throw out their personal problems on other people without any real insight. This isn't an I Ching forum, it's a "listen to my problems forum".

My question was should I cave and do it or stick it out? I know that sounds like a yes or no type question, but my sentiment was gimme something to think about to help me make the decision.
Anyway, sorry you're feeling disenchanted with the forum mryou. I'm not much more than an occasional lurker here but I always like what I find when I do check in. Thanks for the reply. It does help. I think "hate trapped by hate" is a good way to put it. Do you have anymore thoughts on how that idea is represented?

in the second hexagram, which is what the first becomes, there are three instances of separation, a yin below a yang, a yin below a yang, a yin below a yang. These forces are stuck in their own thought and unwilling to accept, this is the primeval existence of "hate". You have three hate signs, but between these are "love". a yin and yang accepting one another, 2 instances. So within this trapping and absolute feeling of hate, love persists and tries to conquer, but it needs to be careful. This is my personal view of Hexagram 64, the final Hexagram. It's the final one to me because it tries even though it's at the end. And whether it succeeds or not decides the new beginning.
