Hello to everybody. I'm living a relationship really meaningfull for both of us but I have to say that condition are not simple as I'm about 10 years older than him and he is still or maybe in the main process of discover himself. In july he went away for work and he will come back soon(afyer almost three month very far away roubded by thousand of young people from avery part of the globe with who he is working and living togetwit. Two weeks ago he came out saying he doesn't know what he really feels for me as he realized that he doesn't feel the will to talk to me and so on(even if just one week after his departure he asked me to marry him).this is not the first time he come to a crisi than resolved somehow by itself. But this time he is questioning hard, very hard. I'm obviously scared as we don't talk that much since his confession, so I'm leaving him space to think. My opionion is that new experiences, new people, and a totally different way to live he is axperiencing there is the real reason of all his confusion and so I asked the i ching to help me to understand what is going on asking: how much that place, that people and the whole big bobble in where he is living at the moment is effectively determining his crisis? The i ching answered with 60.2.4.6 changing to hexagram 25. I'm black, couldn't catch the meaning. Please help me.

Hi Cieloeterra,

"How much is that place, those people and the whole big bobble where he is living, at the moment, effectively determining his crisis?"
60.2.4.6 to 25 ~ The patient has a fever that will subside with proper treatment after his return.

In addition to being diviners, the compilers of the i-Ching were also experts in the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It appears that your man has contracted a case of 'girl fever' ~ all the yin positions are changing ~ which has kept him from calling you (line 2 ~ "not leaving the courtyard"). It will take 'cold measures' (line 4) to cool the fever. However, the fever will break, and he will regain his normal self, again (line 6).

Whenever you get Hexagram 60, you should do a second toss on a follow-up question. In your case, tossing to find out the correct 'cold measures' for treating the fever?

In any case, I would recommend avoiding intimacy for at least two weeks after he returns.

I hope this helps!

Thanks a lot for your interpretation #radiofreewill#. I have some question about: the "girl fever" how you call the reason why he kept neglating him from the normal course of our relationship, means there is somebody else or you just meant that he is disconnected from the heart and may be just being driven by the hego?!? Also, what make you think that line 4 is indicating how to heal the situation taking cool measueres instead of being the description of his own cold behaviour to deal with the confusion he is experiencing? And finally, how did you deduct that I should avoid intimacy for at least two weeks? Couldn't be the line 6 just the image of what he is being and doing?!? What about the 25?I also took your suggestion about another cast to explain me o to deal with the hexagram 60. The question has been " what canI do to help him to find inwardly the way back to me and our love? the answer is hexagram 37.4 changing to 13. Thanks a lot again for your previous answer, I really liked it but just quesioning if may be there could be other interpretations as...just yesterday night I bought a tbetan singin bowls, tone F#, the heart frequency, and really happy playing with it I asked to the iching:

Sorry to everybody but for a strange reason anytime I post something it come to the wall with a missing part. No idea why. I'll try to continue here: so I was saying that I bought a singing bowl and I was playing with it when ocurred to me to as to the Iching if my healing tools like crystals and musicalinstruments such the tibetan bowl will be my instruments to heal him and the relationship and I got 7.3.5 which at first view seems telling me that my idea about the effectiveness of my healing tools Should be abandoned as totally wrong. What do you think about all that?

Thanks, Cieloeterra ~ I will reply this evening when I get back home. My feeling, based on your tosses, is that you should be "cautiously optimistic" while protecting your heart about his return. My singing bowl is also F#. I used Crouch's "I-Ching, the Chameleon Book" for your reading, but perhaps there are other diviners in the forum who could suggest alternative interpretations, too? Many Blessings to you!

SORRY BUT i JUST NOTICED I WROTE THE WRONG CHANGING LINE RELATING TO THE QUESTION "Will my healing tools (like crystals and musical instruments such the tibetan bowl) be the instruments through which I'll be able to heal him and the relationship?" correct answer was: hexagram 7.2.5 chaging to hexagram 8

Hi Cieloeterra,

Thanks for your patience!

Here's my thinking: Your man is younger than you, and he has been away for almost three months, surrounded by many young people. He’s gone from proposing marriage to saying that he’s not sure how he feels anymore? This has been a pattern for him in the past, but this time he appears to be questioning his situation very hard?

This sounds like a passion fever, or, since all the yin positions are changing (lines 2, 4 and 6) a ‘girl fever.’ Crouch’s i-Ching touches upon an herbalist interpretation for some of the hexagrams, so I used it for the reading.

Here’s the relevant text:

Hexagram 60 ~ Measures

Judgment: Measures. Offering. Bitter measures. Impossible? Make a reading.

line 2: Not going out the gate: the court. Ominous.
line 4: Cold measures. Make offering.
line 6: Bitter measures. Make a reading. Ominous. Troubles go away.

In this situation, you are the shaman and he is the patient.

Crouch translates Hexagram 25 as Unexpected, and says of the hexagram judgment:

“In Unexpected, our thoughts cycle back to our home territory. We are staying within our borders, and quietly preparing for the unexpected. Within your realm of influence, discreetly prepare for the worst.”

So, I read line 2 as a passion fever restricting his communications; line 4 as a treatment for the fever; line 6 refers to treatment for the consequences of the fever; and overall there is hope for a good outcome.

The caution to wait at least two weeks for intimacy is there to protect you, in the event that he has been with someone else during his time away ~ Unexpected…but possible?

Therefore, be cautiously optimistic while protecting your heart.

“What can I do to help him to find inwardly the way back to me and our love?”
37.4 to 13 ~ Emphasize the richness of a good home life with good people.

It’s a chaotic world out there and these are chaotic times ~ to find good people to stand with is like finding treasure.

“Will my healing tools (like crystals and musical instruments such as the tibetan bowl) be the instruments through which I’ll be able to heal him and the relationship?”
7.2.5 to 8 ~ If they help ‘center’ him, then yes ~ if his mind remains scattered, then no. See how it goes?

Sorry for the long answer, Crouch’s i-Ching is off the beaten path, but I have found it to be worthy of consideration? I hope it helps!

All love and blessings to you!

Hi Moss Elk ~ I apologize, I should have clarified that Crouch's i-Ching calls for secondary readings a lot, including Hexagram 60, but that this is not typical of other i-Ching translations. When I'm reading from his translation, I find it useful, myself?

Hi radiofreewill,

There was a user here before who was very enthusiastic and confident about his readings. Every time he came across one he didn't understand, he would advise the querent to ask a different question.
(Hexagram 4 says specifically not to do this.)
On James Dekorne's website when he doesn't understand a line he says 'the line is problematic' Both of these behaviours are a way of not admitting they didn't understand the answer.

If you get a 60, there is the answer.
Only ask a follow up if you really don't know what should be limited and regulated. But this shouldn't be often because the lines of 60 (and looking at the Fan Yao) hint at what should or should or shouldn't be limited. (plus your own knowledge of the subjects/matters.)

(example 60.1 limits the 29 Danger, no blame)
(example 60.2 limits the 3 Assistance, regretably so)

So, I see asking another question generally as a mental cop out.

Regards,
M.E.
