I finally read the work a friend of mine sent me. I liked it but felt that it needed improvement in certain areas. So I wrote back my notes stating what I thought was great and what I thought needed re-working. I was extremely careful and diplomatic with what I wrote.

I haven't heard back from him yet and am wondering if he's annoyed with me for a) taking a month to read it. b) some other unknown reason.

So I asked the Yi "What will be X's response?"

I got 61.4 > 10

I have the feeling this whole reading is signifying half truths being told and being careful?

Does anyone have an opinion? :)

61.4 → 10 (Treading Carefully), Richmond:
Nearly full moon. A horse whose fellow disappears.
No error.

I don't know when you've sent the reply but the last full moon was from 20th(half) to 27th(full) of October.
He'll get back to you from 19-Nov (half-moon) to 25-Nov (full moon).
Nothing to worry about, just keep going (10).

61.4 shows one of a pair of horses breaking free, going their own way, doing their own thing. So I feel he will likely stick with doing his own thing and not take your advice on the bits that need re working. In fact he may not be responding yet because he doesn't know how to say he is going to leave it the way he thinks it needs to be.

I've been in your situation too in being asked to read someone's writing and give feedback. I've found that however careful, however painstakingly diplomatic one aims to be, very often the only response the person wanted deep down was 100 % approval.

This might be literal about the moon phase but I also feel despite asking for your feedback he will do his own thing and then maybe not know how to give you feedback on your feedback.....if you see what I mean. So based on this reading my guess is there no annoyance here, nothing negative as such, he's just taking some more space to do what he wants with it and might be wondering how to say he's not going to rework it as you suggested. Probably more that sense of awkwardness than annoyance. Also he couldn't really be annoyed as you did take time to carefully look at his work.

Hey guys, thank you very much for your feedback. Just to let you know, I got a response just a few hours after I posted this haha... but the response was very much as you said Trojina.

I think the most true thing you said is that people are looking for 100% approval deep down. I spent many years reading his work and giving very minor notes - not having the balls to give him the whole truth, since I didn't think he'd listen anyway. But he's had failure after failure after failure - not a successful movie since 30 years ago. This time I feel better about being 100% honest :)

So nearly full moon can mean couple of hours, I'll note it down.
