Heya all

I was offered some job in a political party, in fact, they have plenty for me. It's a volunteer job and I accepted it having in mind different things: to see how things work in this environment which is unknown to me, to meet people with (maybe) interesting ideas and commitments and last but not least to improve my chances to find a paid job (through relations).

But I also have a paid job from time to time in a big hospital, and some personal projects. So I am wondering if this volunteer job is worth the time I spend in it, and if it will bring me something useful (like work opportunities). So I asked: what will this job bring to me?

64,3 > 50

This reading means nothing to me. I can't understand what it implies in my current situation. Any insight?

Chaos in the cauldron. Things are all out of place in a place of transformation, the sacred container. This sacred container could be your volunteer job with the political party, or the container could be your life. Not sure.

64.3 seems to be saying got to finishing one thing before moving onto another and mind's jumping to and fro (LISE, 64.3). Hatcher (64.3) seems to speak to the how's, or "Frustration is impractical, so he gets a grip and handles things better. Good ideas are the ones which work".

The fan yao speaks about something important looking good but it is dysfunctional so you can't handle it, and "get a grip, a grasp on the practical things" (Hatcher, 50.3.), and LISE (50.3) making order from mess.

So for me, it seems like this could be about the volunteer job: so many things will be asked of you that you won't get the learning or connections you desire. Or, this answer could addressing your APPROACH to the volunteer job: there were 3 things you wanted (learning, connections, work), and your query about whether it is worth it, whether it will bring you something useful. You are wanting lots of things from the job. So, you could be metaphorically attempting to cross several rivers at once. In the end, you will cross none. Perhaps, you need to get in touch with the river's needs and flow(the volunteer job), and align with those; your attempt at a crossing (your goals) will be much easier.

What will this job bring you? It depends. Perhaps, if you approach it strategically, practically, diligent in follow-through, and with the attitude to serve, it could be a place of transformation. If your approach is not, it could be quite frustrating and not useful.

Hex 50 the vessel of great transformation needs a little helping hand. You have already made some changes to yourself and your life, but you still need to find that little something. What's there for you is the teacher, either the person or the circumstance, that will give you the opportunity to find the missing piece of the jig-saw.

It might be the experience or the connections but it sounds like it is good on a very personal level and you will find the help there that you need.

Be Well

Thanks both of you for your answers, that helped a lot. I will keep Ace's advice in mind: to get in touch with the river's needs and flow
