I'n still trying to find a solution for my request to my boss for some days to attend a specialization course (http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?t=14219)...
Next week my boss asked for a "volunteer" partecipation in an activity, so I decided to go and then ask for at least one day.
I asked how the Yi sees the possibility of obteining at least one free day and the answer was 30.
Then i decided to be more accurate in my question and I asked: wich consequences will have taking part to this activity on my request for free days at work?
I obteined 7.1,2>24
It seems good, but line 2 is not positive and the hexs speak of timing as well. So is it the right time?
Thanks.: Archi:

the possibility of obtaining at least one free day and the answer was 30.

It's a great idea but something is missing. Anyway, there is no relating hexagram, so it is not likely to happen.

I asked: which consequences will have taking part to this activity on my request for free days at work?
I obtained 7.1,2>24

Yes, something is wrong with the timing. Or: There is some form of disorganization that will nix your plans.

Thanks for your answer Ginnie, unfortunately I think that I'll make a try anyway, the first day I need is getting closer and closer and I can't wait for a better time to ask :(
Anyway, I tried to ask the YI: what if I wait for some days? the answer was 20.1,3,5>22

Seems that this question does not go to the heart of the matter.

I have an idea for you: Why not take off the days you need and just not get paid for them by your company? Some bosses call this "taking personal days." It seems that you very much want to take this course, and it doesn't seem to be a question of your current workplace sparing you for a few days. Or is the taking of personal days or a small leave of absence not allowed?

Thank you for your advice Ginnie, but I'm afraid that the problem is not being paid or not here. I guess that for my boss is a matter of principle (as I said in the other post linked before, I asked the days in the wrong way and my boss was angry). The other problem is that in my job I have to be replaced by someone else and there are a couple of people who's job is just replacing people who is ill or out for some reason (medical, ..., but someone asks for courses as well). I can try to ask for personal days, but I don't know if he will say yes. In Italy we have a number of paid days and when you finish them you have to ask for not paid and I've already used some (not because of "holydays", I work in schools and one of my roles is to help a disabled boy. I had to stay some days at home because he was not at school and my boss signed them as personal days!!! Now I have to work more hours to regain them...).
Since this course is really important to me, I'll take the risk of having a no as response.

Very bureaucratic ... and what bad luck. I think you will manage to take this course sooner or later, since you want to take it so much.

If you took the days off, you wouldn't have enough money to pay your bills? Then one idea is to spend some time saving up small amounts of money, so as to have enough later to take time off without getting paid for the days.

I know you're trying to arrange it so that they are paying you to take those days for the course, but I'm saying that if you drop the idea that they should pay you for those days, then that changes things, doesn't it? Or would you be afraid of losing your position completely if you did that?

The problem is not taking paid days or personal days, they would be personal days anyway. In my job I can't take days off whenever I want, my days off are the school holydays and I can stay at home just for health reasons.
The course is 2 days a month, from February to December and I will attend it anyway, but won't be able to attend those 4 days I asked and my boss said no :( (and one of them is the first day and presentation of the course, and it would be important to go).
(Sorry if I can't explain in a better way, it is not easy for me)

Sorry for the misunderstandings! Going back to 7.1.2 > 24, it seems to be saying that even though you will not start off with the class at the beginning, that you will do just fine after that. I think 7.2 is a good line. It shows a person who has gotten permission from above and favor from below.

Today I asked my boss and he said yes :) I hope that now there won't be
some form of disorganization that will nix your plans.
since the only condition is that if there are other people that need substitution because they are ill, I'll have to give up.
Thanks a lot ginnie for your support : Hug:
