Two working options:
What will happen if i stay where i am (connected with the eyes) and work some hours a week in a place connected with a prison?
12.4.5 > 23

What happens if i chose to accept a stable place in the place connected with the prison and leave the other one?
8.5 > 2

Heeeeelp!
Basically there was half a suggestion I could work full time at the place connected with a prison. Difficult people, but at the same time higher pay and good schedule that would leave plenty of free time.

I the other place my coleague is difficult and there is a talk that it could close or they could send some people away. She is there longer then me, it could be i am the one going away IF that happens (who knows?).

Can anybody help? Thanks with all my heart!

This seems to be the better option. The other one, the 12, also has some promise, but you did not get the top line moving, which is where the stagnation is finally released. In other words, the stagnation would apparently continue for some time.

I found this written by griffin:
"Dear Elizabeth: Remember that the I Ching, regarding the changing line in the 5th place, asks that you throw the coins again to determine if you are strong enough to hold your position. The 5th line is the middle line of the trigram 'danger'. It is also the top line of the inner trigram 'stopping'. So you have a strong line in a weak place that is held in danger.
The hexagram then changes to 2-'receptive'. The most important characteristic of hexagram 2, or so I have found in my 35 years of using the oracle, is strength; because few things are more difficult than staying calm enough to allow the Tao to work."

Should I throw the coins again? Because basically my fear is if i am strong enough to work in a prison environment... My sense of justice, will it let me live through this experience?

Any advice?

You must be a very strong person to even be considering working in a place connected to a prison. Anyway, yes, I am one of those who advises to always asks the second question whenever a hex 8 is received. I would ask, "What do I need to know about that hexagram 8 I just received?"

I followed your suggestion, ginnie and it came out:
2.3.4 > 62

Small exceeding?
Tied up in a bag describes a prison... But no praise, no blame...
Too late now in the night to reason properly...

I read wilhelm and my mind is more confused then before.
I don't know what to think...
I must admit it is one of the first times when i feel the urge of asking the Yi again... Like "really, i am a bit dum, can you tell me in other, more simples words, what would be the best option?"

Basically what i could get so far is that i should lean on people to help me decide (the people who work there already?). I shouldn't act too hastily and strongly. Maybe it means I should wait for them to approach me?

Line 2.4 really describes a prison. And it is not such a nice thing, neither such a bad thing for someone to work there... It has advantages and disadvantages...

It could be the Yi is telling me things I can't understand yet...

Bradford's comment on 8.5 speaks of justice... How appropiate!

"The game is surrounded on only three sides. This grants any beast its birthright to freedom who chances to find the way out. Then one hunts the volunteers, the unfit and the unluckier ones. The sovereign has set a noble example here, showing how to rule without fraud, and the only force or compulsion being a force of compelling example. He makes his people aware that they too are free to choose the way out, if only across the great stream. A tyrant might believe that he holds a people with fences and chains, collecting power with coercion, and conscripting a loyal army. Of course it’s an ancient question: Pat on the back or a ruling fist? Carrot or stick? Vinegar or honey? Attraction or promotion? So what kind of heaven do you go to under a threat? Grip with the open hand and bind them with ties of their choosing."

There is no need to cast again when hexagram 8 appears...what it really is saying is consult yourself again to find what it was that prompted you to ask the question.

There is a conversation in Reading Circle right now about this, and this idea of consulting again can be translated from chinese a number of ways...Hilary takes it as ask of yourself what gave rise to this question.

You think about what you want....that's the core of 8.5 takes it or leave it the choice is yours.

I don't really know from these answers which option is better, I genuinally feel this has to be your choice and Yi isn't making that for you as hexagram 8 asks you to look into your heart, your interests and motivations and choose for yourself where you belong. Hex 8 asks you to choose where you belong....and 8.5 says you do have the freedom to choose here.

So basically the Yi is describing my situation... I know I have the choice, I am afraid of chosing. That yes...
There are so many implications, some advantages, some disadvantages, a part of unknown...
But, of course, the choice is mine, it always is...
