Hello

I am pretty confused about the hexagram I got from Yi, 91.2.4.6. Currently I have a scholarship that will end in July, and I asked Yi what is going to happen in my professional life afterwards. Is it good? is it bad? the answer is pretty contradictory

I also asked Yi if I should go on with my studies, and I got plain 33. Not the best sign I guess

I would like to share my understanding of Hex 9, 31 and 33 for your reference.

Hex 9 is annotated as: the small one herds and grows (or serves) the big one.
Text: Smooth progress; dense clouds but it doesn’t rain, coming from my border in the west.
According to Chinese geography, the east is the sea and the west is land; the clouds from the west usually won’t bring too much moisture, so the dry land still needs to count on the wind from the sea.

Hex 31: telepathy (between the feminine and the masculine)
Text: Smooth progress; it is advantageous or appropriate to persist; it is auspicious to marry a woman.
Once there is telepathy occurring (between the male and the female), Chi (i.e. an invisible power which is circulating within the human body and the world) is actuated and things will start to move. It is advantageous or appropriate to persist. It is auspicious to marry the woman (with whom one shares telepathy), i.e. it is auspicious to engage in that which you know what to do and how to do.

Hex 33: to retreat (as the feminine, i.e. the villain, starts to prevail)
Text: Smooth progress; it is slightly advantageous or appropriate to persist.
To retreat (at the time that the villain starts to prevail); it will proceed smoothly (as the norm of the gentleman can be secured). It is slightly appropriate to persist in what you intend to do or advantageous in terms of a small achievement (as the hexagram will become Pi: stagnation and blockage (hex 12) once the feminine line reaches position 3).
