a crush on my kombi mechanic....

Hi to all,

I have had a crush on my kombi mechanic C for about 12 months but I have just assumed he is in a relationship and haven't thought anything about it except enjoying it when I see him for rego or repairs on my kombi.

Today I had to get a rego check and sorted it with one of the other mechanics and then C caught up with me before I walked out the door. I thought there was something different about him like some burden had been lifted off him or something but again didn't think too much of it. This afternoon when I went to pick up my kombi it seemed like he wanted to speak to me on my own but one of the other guys were there so we just talked about the work he had done. When I left to go outside to get the kombi he sought me out there but then we got interrupted by my male friend who had given me a lift to pick up the kombi.
It was home time for the mechanics but C seemed to be hanging about watching me.

What do I need to know about C maritial/partner status

Well if he is in a relationship it looks a bit beyond repair or he thinks so anyway.

I am not in conflict about this - but would be joyous if he is single and interested.

So could it read - he still has to disperse of his relationship or maybe the work on my kombi which still needs doing and is following the path of correctness until then??

Or does it mean he tries not to think about because it causes him conflict.

Hi Dragona, just a comment on the great quotation you have on your profile now -- it isn't by Albert Einstein, but probably by a writer named Bob Samples in The Metaphoric Mind where he is musing on thoughts by Einstein. It's a common thing these days to attribute all sorts of quotes to Einstein and he isn't here to defend himself. If you read his original works you will soon see why he is a victim of this liberal "quotation." So much of what he wrote was iconic and prescient. In addition to being a great scientist and passable violinist, he was a fine writer.

Ahuh thks dragona:bows: - could be his actual interest is in working on my kombi away from his workplace. He knows I don't have a lot of money so he could probably do it cheaper for me. Maybe....

Thanks Liss, things are going well. Right now I've landed in my new place and sitting here looking out the window over fields and cattle, toward the Scottish hills. One lucky Babe, I have to say. Anxious to get more settled, but there is no rushing time. It takes time. Great to hear from you my friend.

Could be wrong, but I have the feeling the repair man is a kind of a "go with the flow "type and just saying: "I have the feeling you had something to say to me the other time I was here, will you talk to me now?" could do?

I fell in love with the mechanic who worked on my jeep, a guy with blazing red hair named Keith. Had a monumental crush on him and the amazing work he did to keep that thing running, being very young and poor at the time. He had a woodstove and held regular chat sessions with all the locals and I met Lee Marvin there, who then, believe it or not, got a crush on me that I found out about later on in a fascinating way -- and I think from time to time of writing a short story about it because it was so funny. Interesting what you find at the local garage. I'd just see where it takes me Liss, based on experience and nothing to do at all with the Yi, in case anybody is thinking this entry has any importance. Just a reminiscence on mechanics and the crowd they draw, really.

I rang him, spoke with him and he said 'nope there was nothing' we then just talked about what needs fixing on the kombi and that was it - still have a crush on him but.....haha

Haha well he's a bit far away and I sorted needed to clear it up before I took the kombi back as it is not his own personal workshop - doesn't matter - he'll come clean if it's meant to be.

Nothing happened in regards to the crush - I found out that he and others were actually trying to deceive - oh gosh what lust can do to your intuition
