I like your terms just fine, but for me, I'll just focus on what I need to understand eachI consult the oracle twice daily; In the morning: Please provide me with my principle of right action for the day? In the evening: Please grade my performance for today against the principle of right action for the day?
I realize that words like 'principle' and 'right action' may be too 'hard' or 'anal' for many these days but you can modify it to 'guiding counsel' or something like that. In this way the oracle becomes your teacher.
Best regards,
Ken Wanamaker
I'm going to start consulting daily.
Seems like a mixed bag to me. Any Thoughts?

I'm glad for you, Topal, that you don't need the daily guidance, but right now, I do...Hi Peace,
Just a thought, but isn't asking a bit of an overkill? You could ask for the week or month perhaps? This allows some measure of "freedom" to make up your own mind - a bit of freedom to apply the principles. Asking every day seems a bit too much like using the IC as a crutch.
Just my opinion though, nothing more. Yes, each to his own - just thought I'd mention it.
Topal
Since I'm new to The I Ching, I could use the guidance. I just noticed your thread inI meditate twice a day, and ask an open question of the oracle at the end of each. I see no reason why you can't use the Yi on a daily basis. I mean, why should the oracle be used only for big, life-changing issues? Why not for the daily stuff, in order to keep you more in tune with the universe?
In fact, I'm going to start a thread in the Divination Discussion Forum which I've been meaning to do for a while, and it might be useful for you, Peace.
I'm glad for you, Topal, that you don't need the daily guidance, but right now, I do...
