A guy I barely know

There's this man I don't know very well. I met him once and we got on quite well. However, I didn't live in the city where I met him and because of that I never saw him again in person. We have kept in touch though.

Lately, for some reason, he seems quite eager to get to know me better. He has been asking me when I'm coming back for a visit and has been trying to talk with me more online as well. I'm not sure what to make of it. He has been quite honest about being lonely and about the fact that he's interested in me. He says that he wasn't so up front before because he wasn't sure how I felt about him. This is certainly possible.

I asked what I need to know about his feelings for me and got 53.6 > 32.

Ugh. I'm never sure what to make of this line. What does it mean exactly? How might it relate to this situation? I'm sorry but I don't have an interpretation of my own to offer.

When I get Hex 53 with changing lines I usually take it literally as reading from bottom to top. In a particular situation it means progressing through stages to the top. But here you have only the 6 at the top, which, in my view, suggests a current situation already being left behind. Also, in terms of romantic relationships I have seen the Yi using this top line to talk about distance (either literally or not).

So, I would interpret this reading as him having the aspect of the physical distance in mind and also perhaps thinking if there is a chance of relocating, which would keep you both nearer. It is quite a difficult thing to picture with this reading what he has got in mind, but this is what strikes me.

Eleven, it was indeed line 6. Sorry for the confusion.

Goddessliss, I am somewhat older than he is so I guess that makes me the oldest daughter.

He has put forth the idea of marriage in a roundabout way. I think he was trying to let me know that this is what he's looking for. So, 53 does fit here. I guess he's being honest.

I did ask one more question: What should my attitude toward him be?

This is easier to interpret. It's telling me to watch myself, don't do anything stupid if I do get together with him.
