A friend of mine died back in September of last year, and I had decided to recite the Great Liberation by Hearing for him. I had started before I consulted the Oracle because I desperately wanted to help him, but then I worried that I might be entangling myself with his personal karma. So, I asked: What will be the result if I continue to read the Great Liberation by Hearing to my friend?

I took this to be a good sign so I continued for a while. Much to my own shame, I only recited the GLBH for about two weeks (possibly less). I felt pretty guilty about it, but, at the same time, I didn't feel like I had completely let him down. I had let his passing slide into the back of my mind until now; his birthday is the 28th of this month. So, I asked the Oracle if my friend had achieved enlightenment and got the following answer:

I took this to be a good sign. I took 27 to refer to the situation in regards to spiritual nourishment, and 6 at fourth to mean that things went well because:
I sound pretty confident don't I? I'm not. I had never cried and laughed so hard at the same time before I was given this answer, but I'm still worried that I didn't do enough during the appropriate time frame (You're supposed to do the recitation for 49 days to make double sure). I understand the difficulty in responding to this thread: most people shy way from bad, or less than favorable news. But if anyone can shed more light on this, I would be very grateful.

I didn't know how to feel about the tiger's glare or the turning upside down, but then below that there was:
This led me to believe that my friend had found a new source of spiritual nourishment and that this was beneficial. The 9 at top sounded favorable as well:
I took the above to mean that despite this adversity, his untimely death, there was some good to be had in his journey beyond: a great blessing.
