I had quite an adventure of a journey yesterday trying to reach my hometown from where I spent the rest of the year aside from holidays. It was a day of endless cancellations and delays and unknown outcomes - mostly I wasn't sure I was gonna make it out of the place I was, or finally be at my destination at the scheduled time; often it became a matter of minutes whether I'd catch the next arranged transportation or not . . In all of it, I asked Yi for outcomes from my cellphone, trying to figure out the best way to move forward and trying to play it by ear as I didn't have much time to dwell on the readings anyway. I won't go into all the readings and details here, as it would take way too much space and was quite complicated, but I wanted to share the last couple of readings and how they panned out . .

For the last leg of my journey I was supposed to take the night train on a prepaid, non-refundable web ticket, due to all the delays though, I boarded the metro being half sure I was not gonna make it. My last q to Yi about whether I was gonna make it to my hometown according to schedule, gave 12.2,5 to 64, which seemed rather gloomy. A further q about whether the train was going to delay, gave 54.2 to 51 - not good at all either. However, waiting to change metros, and only 5 minutes before the scheduled train departure (and 15' before my possible arrival at the train station) I asked Yi again, whether I was gonna make it:
Yi said 34.4 to 11 . . but with only 3' to the train's leaving I wondered whether the reading was talking about me or the big train-'man' following the ritual of its leaving right on time, so I asked again:
'Does that mean that I'm gonna succeed, ie, the -train-will-be-delayed, 11?'
Yi said: 38.3,4,6 > 11
. . huhh?

I decided to play my cards till the end and took the metro anyways (while arranging with a friend who'd be glad to put me up for the night in his place in case things didn't pan out). The minute I arrived in the train station a man asked me if I was taking the train
- 'Yes' I muffled away
'Good, he said. it's gone'

ehm . . Wait, wha?? (38.3 drumrolling in the back of my head)

It turned out, he was a cab driver trying to strike a deal with another unfortunate passenger like myself, to drive him to the train's next stop. After a couple of minute long bargains on prices, we got in his cab and started the night train race (I took a look at the speed meter and at 160-180 km/h I decided I'd rather not know how fast we were going). Yet here it was, as yi had foretold:

34.4:
Perseverance brings good fortune.
Remorse disappears.
The hedge opens; there is no entanglement.
Power depends upon the axle of a big cart.

and 38.3,4,6 (in succession after reaching the station):

A man's hair and nose cut off.
Not a good beginning, but a good end.
Isolated through opposition,
One meets a like-minded man
With whom one can associate in good faith.
Despite the danger, no blame.
First one draws a bow against him,
then one lays the bow aside.
He is not a robber; he will woo at the right time.
As one goes, rain falls; then good fortune comes.

The result was, we did catch the train, arriving at the next stop before it had even gotten there - the cab driver was a man of honor after all and was not out to rob us . . 11 it was eventually!

One last thought I made about Yi, concerned my seat placement in the train. Having bought my ticket online, I had chosen my seat to be 11.1 cause I thought it'd make for a good omen, specially since the journey was made out of interconnected parts and I was ascending (46) from south to north. Throughout the journey though, I reasoned that the omen didn't work, or worked out negatively . . Reaching wagon 11, seat 1, I took the print out again to check, only to realize that I had booked seat 1.11 . . and although the lines don't quite tell the story, making the journey, yes, it was pretty much a matter my will&drive to make it all work: hx1 creating 11 - Yi numbers had it right again, now if only I could be more careful of these damn omens!

All in all, and despite the fatigue and difficulties met throughout, I found all the experience a great Yi story and wanted to share with others who get Yi-talk ;) .. hope you enjoyed!

I also hope everyone's traveling these days reached/will reach their homes safely - have a great holiday season!
:)
