I am trying to let out my flat, at a distance, through an estate agent and just received an offer from a couple.

When I asked "what about accepting their offer?" I got 56.3>35.
56: traveller. we are talking about tenants, they are transient, although the tenancy would be for a year
56.3: uh oh! The traveller burns down the inn:eek:. Is it just me being paranoid or is the IC telling me these people are going to trash my lovingly refurbished flat? That said, self examination makes me wonder if IC could be telling me I am the stranger in danger of being arrogant and losing the support of the estate agent.
35 I think this just says the flat is bright and sunny

Then to clarify I asked "advice about this offer?" and now I got 56.2>50.
56.2 : the traveler lodges at an inn, has a livelihood and gains a loyal servant. Is the IC now telling me this couple would be loyal tenants? Or that I have a loyal estate agent to help me? I am truly stumped, this makes no sense to me.

What does my gut feeling tell me?
I have never met this couple, and on paper one offer is as good as any other. But my gut feeling tells me to keep looking, that I don't want to rent this flat to them.
And yet I have no rational reason to turn them down (I can't tell the agent my decision is motivated by IC!) , and I suppose if I did refuse the offer for no obvious reason, I could alienate the estate agent and find myself in a 56,3 situation. So the 56.3 casting could be referring to both a danger of alienating estate agent and a danger of getting the flat trashed if I accept: damned if I do, damned if I don't?

Getting the same hex with two different and conflicting lines really baffles me. I thought it would be an interesting one to share. Any thoughts? Any advice?

PS: as background, I should add that a few weeks ago, we showed it for 3 days and got 3 offers, so it is a popular flat. I asked the IC about the best offer, which on paper looked good (I liked the tenant's profile and she liked it so much she raised her offer). But surprisingly I got "12UC : the wise one withdraws and does not try to get rewarded with revenue". Crystal clear. But I had no rational reason for refusing, so we went ahead with background checks, and it turns out there was a problem, and I had to put the flat back on the rental market. So IC has been pretty accurate in the past!

This is how I would approach this if I had this reading. Hex 56 is too temporary, volatile, for this to work and line 3 may not mean literally that the new tenants would wreck the place, but it strongly suggests trouble ahead. They might break the contract, there might be disagreement, who knows. But the prospects of this deal coming to a bitter end are high. In my opinion, this reading relates to the first question you asked and it is specific about the couple, so I don't see this interpretation as having anything to do with the estate agent. Again, my personal approach: this offer is a no-no.

Then you asked again, rephrasing your question, and now you feel that you have contradictory lines/answer. I don't see it that way. In my view, the Yi responded straight away first time.

Thanks Mirian. I could take it as
56.3: no, don't let it out to that couple. Glad someone else sees it as a no no!
56.2 you have the support of a loyal estate agent, you will find a good tenant, no worries.
