About going or not going for a job: 50.3.4.6 to 7

I am in a bit of a mental rut regarding going for a job I dislike in a company I want to work for.
A bit of background:
I have finally decided to become a freelance and I have been approached by one big consultancy company. I had an interview and I liked them very much, but for the time being they have no openings in what I want to do. They were positively impressed and referred me to another division, and they want to have an interview for a position which is pretty boring but only lasts 3.5 months. I have no other job offers at the moment and am short of cash, therefore I thought that if I do a good job they might call me for more assignments.

So with this question in mind, I asked the Iching if I should go for this job I am not interested in and which I would be willing to take for reputation and money. I received 50.3.4.6 to 7.

Now I don't like hexagram 7. I always got it in cases of unrequited love, but have no direct experience of it in career questions. The vessel's judgement looks good in general, although I am not sure it indicates that I don't get the job in line 3.

Urbansparrow, disregarding the lines I would consider your cast as a requirement for disciplining your ego in order to take responsibilities you are not eager to (7) what will help you obtain what you want through some metamorphose (50).

The way to your aim may not be easy - perhaps, one day you will be close to quitting. But you will succeed at last, just don't be too disappointed with what you have to do at the start.
