Addiction & life 54 with 1 and 6 changing

Hello everybody
I was asking about my life, where i am in the big picture of my journey and how to continue the course.
For years i have been strugling with addiction and while im at a much better place then i use to it always held me back from achieving my full potential.
I recived 54 with 1 and 6 changing so it change to 64 "the end is in sight"
I was reading in online that when 1 and 6 change you should read only the second hex.
On this forum i was reading that when 1 and 6 change you will go through the entire hex quick.

P.s I was also reading somewhere that line six in 54 that he has something to do with doing empty sacrifices and things in a manner that is not "full"

Can you please help me with this read?

54.1.6, being second (back up so to speak) not being able to BE the one on who all attentions falls, is hard and requires patience to turn around, patience you are lacking a bit now. But its a process, which if done incorrectly will bring no fruitful results (54.6 ) and danger of relapsing. 64 is just starting, troubled times, you want to cross the river (take on a major work) but there is no way for now, patience and keep working on yourself will lead eventually to progress.

Do you ever feel like there are things you aren't doing because you don't feel ready? I wonder if Yi might mean try them anyway?

54 is someone without much power or freedom of choice. She or he has ended up in an unfamiliar place where she/he plays only a supporting role, and must continually adapt to what the more important people are doing.

But line 1 says there still are things she can do within her own sphere that will give her at least a little choice and movement. (Line 1 changes to hexagram 40, Release.)

'Maiden marries as a younger sister.
Limping, can still walk.
Setting out to bring order: good fortune.'

You're limping, but you can still walk a little bit. It'll be good fortune if you do what you can.

Line 6 seems to imply maybe you haven't done that. Hexagram 64 in the background might suggest why: you're staying on the near bank of the river, not attempting to cross, because you don't think conditions are quite right yet.

I think 54.1 might be the biggest advice, though. Try to do what you can even if it doesn't seem like much. Of course this is a guess that relies on line 6 being an overview and not something forced on you. How does it seem to you?

I see these hexagrams as saying you are on the path, doing the things a human being does and moving along but life seems to have become sort of repedative and the old goals don't draw you - you are feeling you want something more. You are wanting a higher vision to aim for.

In Hex 54 you are being asked to continue being flexible, self nurturing and open. Persevering in this way will help you to realise your hidden potential and continue building the harmony in your life. This is held within a context of sustained awareness that you need to continue being discerning and knowing what will add to the harmony of your world and what will detract from it. There is a place for everything in your life provided everything is in it's right place (64).You are challenged still to remain diligent and guard against thoughts and behaviors that will bring any sort of distress back into your world.

54.1 - Whilst not fully in control of all aspects of you life. Look now to see what influences you can bring to make the small changes you can. Big wars are won through lots of small victories.
54.6 - Now is the time to adopt a new perspective and way of living your life. Strengthen your character and breathe fresh blood into all you do.

Use Line 1 and 6 in tandem now and together they will launch you into a new phase of your life. One without the other is like having the horse without the carriage.

... or it might mean nothing like this at all.
