Hey everyone,

Recently i've been interested in learning to play the guitar again. So I found this online forum that allows you to post videos up of you doing excercises and the admin of the website (actually the owner) will review and critique your work.I'm not one to really post videos or even pictures of myself on the internet, but for some reason really feel like doing so on this site. So I asked the ching what I can expect if I do follow through with it, upon which I was given: 12.1.3.5.6 and 55. The first one seems a bit ominous. As if it would be a failure to do so. I wouldn't be helped, made fun of, or be embarassed. But I interpret 55 as either if I don't go through with it I will learn on my own, or if I do, I will have to suffer the consequences first and then things will get better. I was just wondering if anyone has any other interpretations? I'm still new with all this so I can't even say mines are correct. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

I think Yi might be showing your own fears of not being accepted into this group, that your worrying too much about how your videos will be received. its from stagnation(12) to abundance(55) though, which states 'be not sad, be like the sun at midday'. Dissemenate your light across the full spectrum of possibilites, show what your capable of. Be a leader and dont worry about the consequences. You might be worried about your own abilities as a guitarist, possibly feel like your over the hill? Or not good enough? (the leader reaches a peak) (55) but Yi seems to be stating your not to worry about that, this reading is very hopeful I think. Your going from feeling like your not welcome or somehow out of the loop (12) to being at the top of your game (55).

I'd go right ahead and do it If I were you! :D

Hope this helps,

Yx

Thanks guys! That all makes a lot of sense. I really appreciate the help. :) @hopex, I just read someone who posted on another thread about that. I'm usually used to reading it from primary to relating, but that's an interesting perspective as well. I think either or could be accurate. I guess i'll just have to wait and find out...

The I Ching is clearly a book about changes, that's the direct translation of the title, it's not "The Book About Following The First Hexagram You Receive", so you should always view the circumstance through the changing of the lines. And here it's changing from Stagnation to Abundance. Why on earth would you make yourself stuck in the past? Move on to abundance. The I Ching's (from my pov) almost certainly telling you that doing what you're thinking of doing will be absolutely fulfilling.
