An odd reading about a new relationship

I'm trying to date this new girl, we've been talking for about a month and went out once and had a very nice time but she seems unsure, keeping me at a distance, I'm not sure what to make of it. I like her.

So I asked what does she want to happen with me?

I got hex 8 holding together changing lines 5 and 6 changing into 23 splitting apart.

hmmmmm...

It doesn't look good as far as I can tell, somethings not right for her, she's unsure about me, something along those lines.

Thats all my limited interpretation skills can tell me, any deeper interpretation would be much appreciated.

8's about uniting with something - could be a person, an idea, an organization, an approach. 23's about stripping away or stripping off layers and buffers and getting down to the bare bones of it. Put 'em together and you get something like: what she wants to happen with you is a uniting that strips away stuff and gets down to the bare bones of it. What I can't tell in this situation is whether that's as sexy as it sounds when I write it lol. Cuz very, very often 23 is a *painful* stripping down and stripping away. Having those buffers removed and the naked truth revealed often turns out to involved some kind of suffering.

This suggests that she has attracted you without herself doing anything as she has qualities that you really seem to like and you could have made a successful relationship but she has chosen to hesitate and not make any commitment therefore it is not going to last, as something is holding her back.

Thank you for your responses, just when I was going to try and move on she writes me a nice message and asks me my weekend plans...

So I asked the same question again

and I got hex 8 holding together changing at 2 and 4 into 47 Exhaustion

It could be her pace is just a step slower then mine, so I think were falling behind, that it's not working and I stop and then she catches up and it's all good again.

I wonder what I can do about that as it's slightly frustrating and stressful for me...! lol

One thing about hexagram 8 is that it is union that is engaged in willingly. Line 5 speaks of allowing those who come willingly to come. In other words, it is not the wisest of policies to pursue, but only to attract, and that is done simply by being yourself and acting in a confident manner. When line 5 alone changes, we have hexagram 2 which is about being receptive. Line 6 concerns us with finding the right moment for union. When the opportunity is there, it must be seized, allowing, of course, for the context of line 5. Hexagram 23 is often perceived as having a negative connotation, and it can, but often we strip away things that need to be stripped away.

It seems that the overall outlook on this reading is that it can go either way. The major danger is that you scare her away by pursuing too fast. Aside from that, you have a chance. Give her reason to come to you, but careful about moving too quickly toward her.
